A Symphony of Threat and Terror: Chapter 9 of "Dreamwalker Dash" needs more work (Small preview below the page break) · 9:32pm Mar 23rd, 2020
Has it really been almost 28 days [Insert zombie virus joke here] already? Apologies for the silence last week. I was going to inform about the new delay earlier, but one of my teeth that currently gives me problems decided to haunt me with near sleep-depriving pain caused by an inflammed nerve at the worst of moments, so I was very busy dealing with that.
Right now, it's under control by antibiotics and will hopefully remain that way until I can get a new dentist appointment to get it treated properly. That is, if the antibiotic pills haven't killed the inflammation by then, which I really hope and the health of my mouth would be very thankful for that.
So, why is "Dreamwalker Dash" delayed by another week? Surprisingly, it has nothing to do with the tooth pain.
I simply realized that the current state of the chapter sucks and that it needs more work to be good. Which is still a result of a difficult and stressful month from mid-January to mid-February and the subsequent recovery from that which took about another month to go down. But I am on the right track with fixing my schedule, as the spontaneous inspiration I was able to get last Wednesday (and that despite tooth pain!) demonstrates. I was ready to release Chapter 9 last week, but then I realized it sucks and upon analyzing why and how, I got the necessary ideas to flesh out the chapter real good.
So, Chapter 9 is getting a bit of a rewrite now to make it longer and better. Up there, you can already see the chapter title. And here is a small preview for it, which will hopefully shorten the wait for you:
.
Each occurrence of the eerie sound was followed up with a few seconds of silence, but these pauses became shorter and shorter now. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Soon, the sounds came from all corners of the courtyard, combining themselves into a symphony of threat and terror. A symphony played by an orchestra of sharp claws. Rainbow Dash would never admit this but, in this moment, she felt like wetting herself.
.
My mind is feeling slow in a strange way right now, so progress is slow, too. But things are picking up. Due to my current working tempo, I can't fully promise an update this Wednesday, but know that I do my best to make that possible. Now that my inspiration, that suffered a little during writing Chapter 7 and Chapter 8, is back, I feel that my updates will soon return to normal.
I'm hoping that what I've written is able to keep you, my readers, engaged in a month without updates, which means, please keep an eye on the story regardless of the wait and set aside some time to give Chapter 9 a read once it is there. I promise the quality of the chapter will be worth it.
Stay easy as a filly!

It's fine and looks good.
The clicking sound reminds me of the defective turrets in portal 2
