The Mare In The Moon (Rewritten)šµ · 5:09pm Apr 26th, 2020
Luna is Latin for moon. Donāt ask me why.
Original Song: Inmate 4859 - Sabaton
Instrumental
The dawn of a century, a mare born by a queen.
Born and raised in Canterlot.
Grown as a mare in a shadow, then the First War left.
Unleashed the nightmares on her world
Oh no, Oh no, who knows her name?
Pony in hell or a Princess in prison?
Banished to the moon who knows her name?
Trapped on that rock, waging war from the shadows
Hiding in nightmares,
Who is the Mare in The Moon?
Instrumental
Outside of never came decided to wage war
She called upon her daughter, Silverfang.
Sparked an uprising, fights on the street
while hiding her presence
Takes command all while serving her
Children in need
Luna? Luna? Is that her name?
Pony in hell or a Princess in prison?
Banished to the moon who knows her name?
Trapped on that rock, waging war from the shadows
Hiding in nightmares,
Who is the Mare in The Moon?
Instrumental
Capture by her sister and soon she judged as a traitor
Accused of treason by her own
Sentenced by her sister under pressure of political influence
Mare she once fought to be.
Instrumental
Pony in hell or a Princess in prison?
Banished to the moon; We know her name.
Trapped on that rock, waging war from the shadows
Hiding in nightmares,
Lunaās the Mare in The Moon?
Story:
The story of Luna after she was captured by her sister. Luna tried calling out to her sister, but Nightmare Moon was able to hold her back. After the many debates over Lunaās punishment, it was finally decided she would be banished to the moon. There, she sparked an uprising with her children of the night, the batponies, in order to secure there freedom and citizenship. After a thousand years, and with the aid of the stars, she was finally freed from her banishment.
Luna is also Spanish for Moon, and Latin. I like the song and the story.
