Hello everyone! I'd like to start by saying wow. The reception for Donation Drive has been amazing. This isn't my first story ever, but I could never have imagined that my first foalcon fic would even touch the featured box, let alone hold fourth place for hours at a time! I absolutely heckin' can't thank everyone who liked, bookshelved, or otherwise-d the thing enough. It means so much to me. If you glance at my account age and then this story, you'll likely wonder why I waited so long to publish. I'll admit to some...severe anxiety coupled with being busy. But this just sweeps away any worries I had about my writing (at least, that would hold me back from publishing it)!
So! That said, what's next for me? I'd like to share a little bit of my plans for those who are tuning in and hungry for more. Here's some bullet points.
- Yes, there is a sequel (not chapter 2! I make that distinction for a reason.) to Donation Drive in the works, and yes, it has been more or less roughly storyboarded already. It's bigger, hopefully better, and not in the weird second person that the first one is (although apparently some people liked that, I guess?) But with bigger and better comes more word count...more time...and more delay. It's a ways out, folks; a month is my most absolutely optimistic estimate. We're talking something that I estimate will be, at its smallest, five times the size of Donation Drive. I'll maybe plop a teaser or two as the time rolls by, though. We'll see. ;)
- For other future stories, I actually have one already queued up and ready to publish sometime very soon, actually. It stars Zippi and Zew, two little OC fillies of my own. It's just a bit of brief fluff, short, and to the point, but also serves as an introduction to some of their personalities. No foalcon this time, but that will come in time the more I build them up! They're going to be long-arc characters, with more than meets the eye...kinda. Not too much. But still more than you'd think.
- I've got a few more stories planned too, but these are far enough away and liable to not pass the preliminary stages that they aren't worth mentioning. I've got quite a full plate ready though!
Either way, it's been such a fun ride writing so far, and I'm happy so many of you liked my words. Stay tuned, and you might just like what you see! :)
