Hello everypony.
I thought I'd post something, just to prove that I'm still alive and give you all a heads up on a new story I'm working on. Well, two stories actually.
Firstly, despite the number of times I've said this is the last story, I find myself again returning to the 'universe' of My Family and Other Equestrians. I've had a lot of time to think about the last two stories, neither of which I was particularly pleased with. The problem was they weren't really stories, just snippets of episodes from Bones' or Roger's view. So, instead, I'm trying something a bit more original. This new story will follow Bones again through a year on Sweet Apple Acres as the final season plays out. Starting in January, each chapter will cover a month on the farm and in his life, with occasional nods to episodes, and events from major episodes in the season. This, I am hoping will be the last one. I know I sound like George Lucas saying that at this point. But I do want to move on to other things outside of vaguely self-insert, wish fulfilment HiE.
The second, more original idea, which at the moment is still in the planning stage, involves everypony's favourite dark and edgy villain, Tempest Shadow. I thought I might do a short story on her, set post-the terrible plot hole filled movie that made no sense, and introduce her to an original character I've been working on. I won't give out too much detail just yet, as the story is still in the early planning stages, but it will involve a pony version of one of my favourite Star Trek characters helping her to make a fresh start in the world.
There's a couple other potential ideas floating around in my head too, all mainly one shots rather than multi chapter stories, including a Luna/Stygian romance story. I'll try to keep you updated with these. One sort of positive outcome of this COVID bollocks is that I'm now out of a job and have plenty of time to write pony. Luckily, I have got an interview lined up this week for a new job, and have a couple other irons in the fire too.
Anyway, that's me. Still alive, still writing. How about the rest of you? How are you holding up in this brave new decade of never ending debacles?
Good to see that you've still got writing in your mind. And hey, good luck on that interview!
And I think most of us are still holding, for now. Time will tell what comes next, I guess.
5280613 Well, I saw some good news today. Amidst the revisionist history, and an action replay of the Brixton riots, I saw that New Zealand is officially COVID-19 free.
