Amulet Update: I've got a day off! Time to write! · 6:19am Jun 20th, 2020
So many of us have had our lives changed/affected/restricted in this pandemic.
For me, I count myself fortunate to be employed.
I also count myself exhausted for the intensity of having to work and do more with less personnel, due to the company having put folks on furlough. We are grinding like crazy to convince corporate to bring them back. I'm sure they want to work, and we want them back...
So, I've been pretty darn exhausted. That being said I have an update on The Amulet of Shades. I am 4300 words into chapter 14 so far, and hope to get more done this weekend. Monday will be my first day of paid leave I've taken all year, and I really feel the need. Mental fatigue, and the flexor tendons of my forearm are screaming. That, and my 1st CMC joint (that's carpal-metacarpal joint, not cutie-mark crusaders) is getting bad.
(For those who were wondering, I'm a physical therapist.)
I had today off too, but that's because I worked four tens this week. So I took the kiddos to Mount Rainier. Was a gorgeous day.
Also snapped a photo. A wild artist (for Amulet of Shades) appeared!
BTW: I might make a separate blog about it, but my artist (ehrm... 17 y.o. daughter) has also entered a comic contest over on Webtoon. She is going for the prize money, but just wants to see how her story goes. It is a zombie apocalypse, yet it is cutsie and heartwarming... I know, weird. But its a thing. She needs clicks (and comments) so if you're game, check it! Maverick
Enjoy the break.
