Interesting dream · 12:02pm Sep 28th, 2020
I had a dream last night that I was Clark Kent. Or at least a younger Clark Kent, still in his teens probably. There was some sort of Hogwarts-esque school for metahumans that I was attending, and I think I was trying to hide just how powerful I really was as Clark. But in this crazy dream universe The Seven from The Boys were real, because I very clearly remember Homelander at the initial welcoming ceremony, and every time I looked at him I got chills. In fact, that's why I was there, if I remember the dream right. As Clark Kent I knew what he was really like, I knew how bad he was, and I wanted to hone my powers so I could one day take him down once and for all. That might have been why I was trying to downplay my powers, too; I didn't want Homelander to take notice and see me as a threat to him.
So basically a Displaced fanfic with me as Clark Kent.
Someone’s gotta make a fic about that.
Interesting... very interesting indeed.
I once had a dream wherein the monster from "John Carpenter's The Thing" got loose in the Star Wars universe. And I was right on the ground to run for my life from it all. Finally woke up when a Star Destroyer appeared in the sky to bombard the whole area.

indeed.
I feel like there are stories that could be made out of both of these, I just know it...

Agreed.
I'm sure of it. I talked a little bit with a friend once about the Star Wars idea. And I'm sure you could turn your dream into a legitimate story... but I don't know if I'd read it, just because I hate The Boys and everything to do with it that fucking much.

It's not really something I want to dig too deep into myself. I just like seeing evil Superman-expies get what's coming to them. If it's from the Big Blue Boy Scout himself, then all the better.
Although I do sort of have a narrative figured out. Clark's lived in the Seven's shadow all his life, using his powers to help people but staying anonymous for fear of exposure and for fear of becoming just like them. As he begins his career as an investigative journalist he starts a project trying to expose them, Homelander in particular, and winds up finding an ally in another man who's dedicated to taking him down: Bruce Wayne, also known as the elusive Batman of Gotham City.
Awesomeness ensues. :)

I get that feeling, but all the same, I also don't want to give The Boys, its characters, or its creator, the basic dignity of me writing them in anything. Even if it's for the purpose of tearing them down or giving them what-for.
