In all seriousness, I didn't expect for it to get in, anyway. Unlike the ongoing Pony-Me reboot, the prereading team I've got for that story normally doesn't tackle smaller things like grammatical mistakes that Grammarly and Microsoft Word don't catch.
Though, the fact that they pointed out how I should be putting Emi's thoughts in italics when they said the opposite back when I tried submitting the OG Pony-Me to EqD kinda says something about their lack of consistency when reviewing. :P
So anyway, I actually like the snarky insertion of the main character's thoughts into narration that I've started doing over the past year or so and have fully adopted it into my style. The other big things that were pointed out--the grammar and accidental tense shifts--are things that I've been actively trying to work on. As far as tense shifts go, I've been trying to limit those instead to dialogue and certain thoughts, instead of accidentally moving from the past-tense I normally write in to present-tense whenever I feel like it.
