November 2020 Update

With November coming to a wrap, here's an update on how things are going around here.

Things have progressed well for much of the month with the release of To the Gods, the sequel to As Flies, are We, along with the start of the first revision pass on that Crystal War story I keep hinting at these days. Considering that I'm only recently just comprehending the length of To the Gods, I think I'm in for quite a long time revising the whole thing. Still slated for a 2021 release, hopefully, if God is willing.

However, with the university season going double time these days, I've decided to finally back down and get back to my regular work-time writing schedule. This will mean a slower pace than usual, though to be fair, I've been running at an above-average writing/revising pace for a very long time this year thanks to quarantine/lockdown.

I've read a couple of things over the month. Of note are these two:

• tom117z's Change. It was a pretty nice fic to read especially since there were massive divergences from canon for this one to work very well.

• Eric Knight's This Above All, a novel about World War II and written during World War II (1941). It's a sort of rational fic(?) but not really...? It's a bit hard to describe, but let's say it depicts the general milieu of the average Britisher there during the time.
