Sudden Expenses & A Fundraising Marathon · 6:31pm Nov 30th, 2020
I'm not gonna lie y'all, this has been a rough month, and things are not setting up to get any better.
Over a year ago, I was in a bad place and had to ask for some money from the community and you all blew me out of the water with your generosity. To this day, I'm still kind of floored at how good you all were to me. Right now, I'm kind of getting into a similar place. The short of it is that it turns out I'm going to have to be moving again at the end of either this month, or January, and this kind of came out of nowhere because the lease I'm under is sort of abruptly terminating so we need to find somewhere else.
That's why I'm going to try to be raising some money, not via a GoFundMe or something like that, but via my Patreon. I'm not asking anyone to become a lifelong subscriber or anything, if anyone wants to subscribe for just this month and then at the end of the month, cancel it, that's kind of what I expect. The crux of it is this: I do not want to just ask for money, I want to give you all something worthwhile. I want to prove to you that I'm worth it.
I just want to use it to raise money for this month for our move, and to that end, for this month, I'm going to devote myself to publishing Dead by Midnight and it's associated stories in rapid succession. So this is my promise to you all. I'm going to start by dropping two chapters a week for the month of December, which basically means I'm going to be taking on a second full-time job, but my hope is that it will be worthwhile. I'll also be posting up reminder Blogs about this fundraiser with each post.
I'm going to put my heels to the ground and sprint for the end of Act I, and we'll see how it goes, and hopefully, I can raise a little bit of extra money to put towards the security deposit for the new place we're trying to get into.
Like I said above, even if you only toss me a little money for this one month, I'll be eternally grateful. I don't want to ask for handouts, I want to earn the money I'm given. All I can do is try as hard as I can to make this move easier on my roommates who, honestly, are in even tighter financial straits than I am.
So thank you in advance for anything you can put towards my Patreon, and as always,
Cheers,
I-A-M
Oh, dear. I'm sorry about your difficulties there, and their suddenness. I still don't have any money to spare, but good luck, to you and your roommates!
Would you like a signal boost blog post? I could do that, at least.

I'll take any support I can get! You already do plenty for me, Reese, your keen eye for editing has made my work a lot cleaner over the years.

I'll get one up shortly, then. :)
And thanks; I don't feel like it's that much, but I'm glad it brings you joy (and makes some degree of improvement in the work, of course). :)
