While we're waiting... Sisters' School?

My Pre-reader prime/editor-in-chief (not that he want me to call him my editor, but in reality, he is the closest thing I have to one...)

...Anyway, that guy is trying to keep his head above water in med-school. I empathize, and so am entirely patient with his situation of trying to learn gobs and gobs of material while some hack fanfiction wannabe writer (ahem, that's me) waits on pins and needles for him to go through it for a quality pass.

I really don't want to publish without his input, so, until then, here is another item to let y'all know.

I've had a problem with Chapter Four of Amulet for some time... Several readers and reviewers have pointed it out, and while I have agreed with their point, haven't known what to do with it. The whole flashback scene while not bad in and of it self, just doesn't fit there. Why would the protagonist have this great big flashback while things are developing down below in the library?

So, while I wait for Seriff to get to the googledoc, I'm going to rip out the scene and summarize it with a couple of sentences. Hackneyed, I know, but hey... I'm the author, so nyeh.

What to do...

I know, I'll just publish the thing as a side story, so if new readers are interested, they can click over the read. If not, no loss, really. I'll have to change the chapter name - "Sisters' School" because that is what the flashback is all about. So that's what I'll name the sidefic: Sisters' School. I even have cover art for it!

Anyway, sorry if that was boring. Just an explanation of why the heck this Amulet of Shades side-fic suddenly pops up, and then when you see it, you are like "Hey, I read this already!" I'll put a warning author's note in there as well, to make sure folks who click on it will see my intention and not wind up wasting their time. I didn't seem explicitly against the rules (I checked) so hopefully this is okay.
