So as someone pointed out, an explanation for my absence and return is in order and I agree.
To be frank, I fell out of the MLP fandom and lost interest in writing the story.
Killed my motivation outright.
I had work and school. Still do, but that was an excuse. The story wasn't fun to write anymore, it was an obligation not something fun to do in my spare time. And the more it became a chore, the less i wanted to do it. I didn't cancel or stop it writing because I didn't want to kill the fic outright and find out I wanted to come back to it afterward. And I didn't tag it as hiatus (though tbh that was what it was) because if it was on hiatus I wouldn't have to write it ever again and it could stay that way forever.
I'm still writing it, but its for myself. It started out as a way to give back to the community, but now this is something I want to continue at my own pace.
I can't promise monthly updates or a regular upload schedule, it's never worked out for me. I can only promise this, I will keep writing. Nothing more, nothing less.
Thanks for reading and riding this roller coaster with me. Lets find out when the next bend is coming together.

If you need to take your time, work at your own pace, stop for some time to take stock, or even leave the site, please don't just vanish without a trace.

Thanks, I ended up not going to the site for a while. I didn't exactly plan on it, but I'll try not to fall off the edge of the earth again.

Im just glad you're alright. Been a few writers, artist and creators in general (not just this fandom) that have gone missing with nary a peep and we tend to fear the worst over long period of time.
Whether you do continue or not is fine just make sure to stay happy and healthy.
Writing a story that you yourself like has always been key to good works. So please, carry on.
You being happy is the most important part. If we also get updates, that's a side-benefit.

I totally get where you're coming from. I've mostly dropped out of the fandom as well and mostly just monitor this site for when great old stories like yours update. If I had started on the fic I was planning I'd be in exactly the same boat you're in, but as is my planning process was long and thorough enough that I never made it to the writing phase before the season 4 finale crushed any remaining motivation to write.
Anyways, I fully understand your feelings and will be happy whenever a new chapter happens to come along, so you do what you need to do.
