Apex was hiding under Thorax's bed. He felt safe there, but that didn't matter. He was whimpering and crying as he sheltered under it. Hero had stuck his head under the bed and was trying to convince him to come out.
"Come on Cousin Apex, it's gonna be okay."

"It's not your fault Zenny and Flutters are going through a rough patch!"

Hero watched him silently for a minute, before crawling underneath the bed and curling up beside him. He rubbed his younger cousin's back gently, pulling him close and holding him tightly. Apex continued crying, holding onto Hero.
"M-My faul'... Z-Zenny should jus' forge' me...he was happier with Flu'erwings...they were happy..."
"You were pretty happy too, when you and Zen-"
"F-Flu'erwings was there firs'!"
Hero sighed and hugged Apex, merely continuing to hold the sobbing nymph. He was clearly too upset to be reasoned with.
