What have I gotten myself into this time... · 3:00pm May 2nd, 2021
Well, that was unexpected; my first story, on its first chapter, got into the feature box. I now have some big shoes to fill, and to say I'm a bit nervous is an understatement. Here's to hoping I don't fuck everything up on the next chapters, haha.
Seriously though, I am incredibly glad that people like what I have written so far, and I will try my best to live up to expectations.
I've been here a long time and have had the pleasure of reading many great stories over the years, a lot of them on my favorite-reads list with other non-pony books. And while I love reading, writing has always been a slow and somewhat painful process for me with how my brain works. I honestly never expected myself to try writing something for FimFiction, but recent life events have goaded me into crawling out of my comfort zone. Initially, the idea of writing this story to completion was only just to prove to myself that I could do it; now that there's a following for this, however, things have become more exciting, if not a bit daunting. I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds.
Sorry for my ramblings, and thanks for sticking around; just felt like I had to write something down for this. Now, back to work I go.

Little advice about writing. Don't think too much about, "Will the audience like this." Believe me, I got into my own head like that and it's a bad place to be. Just remember to have fun writing and you should be able to get a lot out of this. Put your ideas first, not some idea of what you think people expect from you. Have fun, and stay awesome!
Don't worry about filling shoes; you got into the feature box by doing what you wanted to do. Just keep on doing that, and everything will be fine.
I haven’t read the first chapter yet, but the concept is ripe with potential hilarity, misunderstandings, and chaos. Will get to it when I get home this evening.

You've definitely taken a great first step, and I definitely second everything that Hotel_Chicken said.
Keep going, no matter what you choose for that story, everyone will accept what you choose for the story to do as it is your artistic decisions. But you do need to make sure it makes a little bit of sense in the context to the actual story so don't just make boom dragons on Earth with no real reason behind it. But other than that you'll be fine.
Sometimes it is the time to hit that publish chapter button.
