Approach of the Second Shot · 9:54pm May 11th, 2021

Well, I say "Approach," but it's already come and gone. Now it's a matter of two more weeks of incubation and I'll be street-legal. Just in time for WotC opening up physical Magic tournaments again!

Make your appointments if able, folks. Step by step, we're approaching something like the old normal.

Vaccines are not magic, but they are damn close.

Enjoy your 48 hours of feeling like shit. :B It's better than getting COVID.

I'm on day 2 myself.

I've been to better parties.

It took me a pathetically long time to realize it's usually 48 hours not 24, and that's why I slept 10 hours, feel slightly winded going up the stairs, and overall felt like I fell down some stairs.
I mean. Aside from the fact that I did fall down the stairs from being dizzy yesterday.

Overall, it's not that bad for me so both doses I didn't notice anything until eventually putting the pieces together for why I was sleepy all day.

Congratulations. I'm jealous: things are going nowhere fast here :ajsleepy:

I too am in the “wait for full effect” phase!

Congrats!

I get it on Thursday!

Good luck!

Yeaaahhhh!!!

Got my second shot yesterday. Feel like hot garbage. Should really not be on the internet in this state of mind.

I am so looking forward to drafting in person again. I've been starved way too long; drafting on Arena, as fun as it is, just ain't the same

Glad to hear you're all plague-proofed FoME. Hope your first in person game goes well.

So this feels like such a bizarre question with lockdowns still in swing in a lot of places, but ... are in-person brony meetups going to be a thing? and if so, where in Equestria would one find out about those?

Congrats on shot #2! I hope the side effects are minimal and go away fast.

I was fine 24 hours after my first shot (Astrazeneca). Didn't sleep much because of whatever it was doing, but I woke up feeling like the flu had passed me by. Some food, a walk, and I was good to go.

What a coincidence, I also got mine today.

Still not particularly close to getting mine here, but at least my grandparents have gotten theirs already. My father was supposed to have gotten his recently, but it turns out he might have an allergy to one of the components so he needs to get that tested before. Glad to hear you're all done with this.

Congrats. Still have mixed feelings about it in general, so not too upset about having to wait 'till June at least to get mine. Parents and grandparents have gotten the first shot already, so that's nice, at least.

Regardless, no more Magic for me. DnD at best, or pc games, or nothing. The magic's gone out of it a little, I feel.

Also a little worried about some other medicalities at the moment, actually, so... yeah, good news is good

Time to plug the locals again...

At on time EQD maintained list of local groups. I’ve not checked on it for a while since I seemed to live in a dead zone. Additionally, BadHorse had a group for conventions here on FimFic; not sure if it is still active, especially after 2020.

Yaaaay!
Fully vaccinated here. It's free and it's easy, so do your part everypony!

5517239 This is kind of where I'm at. All this time without paper Magic has shown me how crucial the Gathering part is to Magic's value as a game.

I got into Call of Cthulhu in the interim. I daresay Magic will have a reduced presence in my life, even when it is available again.

Two more weeks before ether and I get our second shots, similar boat as you, but with age of sigmar. I guess I could be persuaded to try modern, but standard has always been hard to stay interested in, limited gets tiring, and never could find a good commander group.
