Quick Update · 3:36pm May 13th, 2021
Still here, Have not disappeared.
Work progresses on next chapter of Shades of Twilight, putting it around 40% pre-edit due to some work related issues. Don’t have an exact date but am going to have it up with new decisions and choices.
Also have taken the time to re-watch some Dr. Who (Pre-City of Angels) and Season 1&2 of MLP to get my mindset back into the flow and mindset of Only Skin Deep.
Will keep a regular update so everyone knows that we are not disappearing again due to life. Luv ya all and hope you will all enjoy the upcoming content.
Looking forward to it! I was getting a little nervous, tbh.

I know I'm very, very late, but after covid I didn't enter Fimfiction for like a year and before that I was too busy with a master but I had your fic in epub and I read it over and over again. One of my top ten favorite fics in the entire site and I know it sound fucking weird, but I'm so glad that you are not dead. So many people were lost during these two years and I and my family were near that statistic last year, so I get so happy when I discover another person who is not dead.

I’ve seen this pattern dozens of times across many fandoms. Author takes hiatus, comes back many years later, says she isn’t dead, then isn’t ever seen again. It breaks my heart, especially on such a good story such as this, but it’s OK.
I don’t claim to know what’s going on in your life, but what I do know is that writing fan fiction is a hobby, first and foremost. It should be fun, you should be enjoying writing it. If you’re getting bored of writing or have fallen out of love with the fandom(s), that’s perfectly reasonable. It’s been what? 9 years since you started writing?
If you read this, please don’t feel pressured to update your stories just because they are big and popular. You should be doing if you want to. Writing FF is a hobby, not a job.

It's so heart breaking, because everytime you hope "this time It's not going to happen, the author really will finish the story, they're not vanishing this time, I know it."
