Cheer Princess update · 9:33pm May 27th, 2021
Alright, so I gotta push the next Cheer Princess chap back till tomorrow. Why? Because I need to set up the next major event in the fanfic, and I am having a hard time debating on Halloween or the Fall Formal or Thanksgiving, as depending on what I choose, I could write the fic in an entirely new direction.
Example: If I write the next fic to take place on Christmas, I will have to skip over Halloween, but if I don't skip Halloween, I will have to write the aftereffects of whatever happened on Halloween into the Christmas chapter.
It's a bunch of cause-and-effect stuff that I am terrible at, mostly because I write action scenes, and I don't consider their effects until I am forced to. The best example of this was that I had promised another chapter of Around the Multiverse and Back a while ago, but it was too short and I had to send it in without a scene that explores the castle in greater detail.
Now, apply that to writing, where I don't even remember what I wrote in the last Cheer Princess chapter and I have to pull it up to see the implications of what I wrote (Which is that I introduced the Shadowbolts, and not that means I have to write a scene where the Shadowbolts recognize Sunset and Tia later and screw up some almighty plan) and I will need more time. So, yeah. The next chap will go out tomorrow, as well as another of Sunrise over the Horizon.
Sidebar: I'm going to throw out RandomTales in my lineup, because lets be honest, that's just meant to be Random Tales and not a full story. Also, because of more time and stuff and not bogged down by school, I will update two stories (Still following the rotation schedule) every weekend because then I have the morning to deal with that BS
