Season 2 Episode 5 Up! (July 26th) · 9:46pm Jul 26th, 2021
Hello again my lovely readers! Yes, it's time for another episode update.
Apologies for the lack of blog post on the last update. You see, it's been a very busy time for me at work, which has left me with not a lot of time to do... much of anything, especially focus on writing Phoenix. I won't mince words: progress has been a lot slower than I would like. I'm barely keeping ahead whereas previously we had up to a five episode buffer.
But I'm going to try to keep on the steam anyway. I'm getting writing done as I can, when I can. I'm hoping, really hoping, work becomes easier and less time consuming as things move into September and October. We'll see.
In the meantime my lovely readers, if we do have to take an outright break, we'll let you know. I'm going to do my utmost to avoid that till at least season two is done, if we have to do it at all.

Ooooooooooooooh plz plz tell me we are going to to get one of classic moralistic indignation filled speeches of classic Picard regarding the rights of the sirens. No, really I want this , I want this author’s version of this https://youtu.be/Jph2qWXJ-Tk . Given that they are going to the enterprise to discuss what is to be possibly done with the three sirens and their future. Admiral ( can’t spell her name but she is a bitch so you know who I am talking about) will push for their use as a weapon against the dominion. Sunset may come in as a magical being point of view and allow the sirens the decency to plow their own path in life. In this comes classic captain
Pickard with morale speech either warning us of becoming the dominion or allow a situation to rob another sentient life of their rights because it suites your needs speech to happen. Seriously do that,
Like the story but hope that above happprns but understand if doesn’t.

Well I can't 100% promise a Picard speech, since it's not HIS story, buuuut we'll see. Worst comes to worst, we could have a Shimmer speech.

It’s kewl it was just a hope, but as Q states “ oh, Jean Luc, sometimes I wonder if I just come here to hear these wonderful speeches of Your’s.”, granted it is not his story and to shoe horn Pickard at the last minute, if he was not part of the story would hefty thing to do. This certainly would require a couple of main plot chapters or one mini chapter to explain his re-entry into the story. However, during Sunset’s eulogy Captain Pickard remarks that had wished to better know at the time LT. Sunset Shimmer. What better way then to fight for beings like her in one his of moralizing poetic speeches he does that he does so we’ll well. That said you have taken me on great ride so far, and what I mentioned was a wish and realize that it is slight in it’s ability to happen. I am completely onboard with whatever you do with story. it’s been fun and your craft of the narrative masterful, so I will not project my wants onto an you, but simply enjoy what given freely.
