Call me Gryph for short, if you like. In-case the avatar, the name, and the themes of my stories didn't make it apparent; big Gryphon fan here.

    What Comes Next?

Whew! A half-million word novel is no joke folks... Especially when it isn't even your first extremely-long-form-got-away-from-me-Gryphons-rarely-do-anything-small escapade.

They say no plan ever fully survives first contact with the real world, but to fail to plan is to plan to fail. Plans are clay to work with as the situation evolves.

    So here is mine, currently:

    Advocate: Cutting Room Floor Achievements

Here, in no particularly organized fashion, are all the achievements (the vast majority by Generic Friendship) which sadly didn't make it into The Advocate for story/brevity/etc reasons.

    • Out of the Cold, Around the Fire - Go camping with a party of individuals. - “All right, all set. I’ll go set up the bear traps…”

    The Advocate: Progress Update

Just to relieve anyone who still is keeping an eye out; I am working hard on The Advocate!

I have been trying to get away from the practice of tossing out a few chapters, vanishing for a month, then repeat. So I am presently building up a backlog.

    Just a Quick Update

For the interested: I'm still focused on getting The Advocate completed.

I had planned to make some progress this week, and still might depending how the weekend falls out, but it is becoming clear it won't be as much progress as I'd hoped, if any.

    State of Stories

Yes - I am still writing daily on RO, and hoping to finish this year.

With that out of the way; It's been a busy few months. Lots of good projects at work, and lots of family issues, medical and more positive ( a couple killer DnD sessions, among other things).

As a result, It's been radio silence for a bit.

Re-Writes Complete · 7:38pm Sep 10th, 2021

For the interested, the re-writes of Option Gamma, and Eternal Delta, are now complete.

Some moments have been tweaked, so those who care about details, especially pivotal character moments, might want to consider a re-read.
The general plot structure is unchanged, except for some moments near the end of Eternal Delta. But the tweaks will recast some of the characters' viewpoints and motivations quite significantly moving into book 3, especially the changes in the back half of book 2.

My own views on government, capitalism (yuck!!), protests, inequality, history, and Humanity in general have changed a lot since starting book 1, partly because of the act of writing itself, but more so external factors. The changes, especially in book 2, reflect this strongly. If you don't like it, that's fine. I write first for myself, second for those who choose to enjoy my works, and frankly for nobody else nor their opinions or wants whether political or stylistic.

Though still imperfect I'm sure, I also tried to clean up any elementary errors along the way (spelling, grammar, et al).

I am now beginning re-writes of the material I had down for book 3.

Inspired by some of Chatoyance's recent works, I am going to push outside my comfort zone, and try a new writing style, see if I can keep the fire of inspiration burning to the end this time.

Book 3 will bring you the close of the story in first-person voice, rotating between many of the characters you know and (I hope) love, and providing a unique look directly inside their heads.

To the (I imagine very few) readers who are still planning to read 3 when it is out, especially those who might consider a re-read of 1 and 2 in the lead-up now that they are re-written, a huge thank you. Now that my move is complete, and my view is to die for, I am finding much more time for hobbies and for socializing, so if anyone wants to chat (PM, or the comments here, or something else - though Lord-knows I have lost my Skype login and can't fathom trying to dig it up again) just let me know.

It's lonely in the world these days. We live in strange times.

Fair winds to all!

Very suprised to see this. I pop around every once and a while to see if the any of the classics have been updated. Just leaving my support and letting you know that I'll eventually read the third part if its ever released.

If you're against capitalism, never eat at any fast food place ever, because it's supporting the man, never watch any online streaming service, because you're supporting the man, never buy a new car because you're supporting the man.

Cool! I really enjoyed these stories before, and I'll read these new edits when I get a chance.

Funnily enough my car is used, bought in a person-to-person transaction, I pirate everything I watch, and I can count the number of times I've eaten something that wasn't a home cooked meal this year on one claw (though that's as much because of COVID as anything else).

Unfortunately sometimes you end up supporting the system anyways. As my sister likes to say 'We live in a society.' The trick is to do an equal amount to support the working class, and undermine the system in return.

We live in very strange times indeed. We're either very fortunate, or very unfortunate. Time will tell...

Looking forward to Part 3! Your story was the first story that actually got me interested in the whole Conversion Bureau universe with its unique and thrilling take on things, so I can’t wait to read it when it’s released!

I appreciate hearing that very much, thank you! I am always glad to hear when the stories are enjoyed, and so much the better that it was a gateway for you into the whole TCB concept!
