Yeah, it's ridiculous. I published a story a while back that suffered a similar fate. Imagine watching a show about friendship and tolerance, and still choosing to be a hateful little weasel. Amazing things these people are doing with their lives, huh?

This is what I'm thinking because unless they also commented there is zero way to know why a fic was down voted and could be any number of things.

Tad arrogant to think the only reason people would dislike a fic is because they are bigots because it implies thinking one is incapable or writing a fic some just don't enjoy.

Yeah except this happened last year with the Pride and Positivity event. Like every story got downvote bombed, so forgive me if I'm not skeptical/paranoid.

I admit it does sound arrogant of me, but usually people will tell you if they don't like the story. When it's drop a downvote and leave in mass, it implies something else.

In my experience, people rarely tell you, most just down vote and leave without any feed back given.

And thats what I've seen on every other fics, there are far more down votes on them then there are comments talking about why they don't like it.

Even the ones that are mostly red and little green there are more downvotes then comments saying the fic is bad.

Most people won't say why they don't like a story, just downvote and move on.
