Twilight Sparkle TROPE (Friendship is Failure)

The Determinator: She always tries her best to get through to those with friendship problems and help them improve their lives, no matter how much they reject and act hostile towards her. She gets as far as saving someone from suicide, even if she gets shamed for it afterwards.

    What is YOUR Definition...

    People often yak at me

    "Try better yourself"

    "Grow up"

    "Improve"

They say all that, but they don't provide actual definitions or explanations of what they mean by all that. It's like I'm supposed to guess what they want.

The same thing follows with fiction, when people whine and complain.

    "This sucks"

    "Write them In character"

Twilight Sparkle Improving Lives? (Friendship is Failure)

    People sure love to complain...

She always tries her best to get through to those with friendship problems and help them improve their lives, no matter how much they reject and act hostile towards her.

She gets disrespected a lot because she wants to help people, even though she's a princess who's saved Equestria on multiple occasions.

Scenes that I like and want to see in stories more... · 9:36pm Dec 24th, 2021

My word, he's getting worse...

https://www.fanfiction.net/r/12478507/

You are a Sociopath period, and you prove me right of how mentally insane you are.

So?

As I said before, I love vengeance, and it's one of my many muses for writing (The thought of payback)

But in addition to these things... I've seen so much over the years, that I like scenes and settings like them so much, they are what I prefer, rather than instantly letting go of the past and moving on simply because you are told you HAVE to.

And whether they are right or wrong, I still like it and prefer it...

When it comes to evil, I'm usually more inspired by how they LOOK, SOUND, or what they DO, rather than their backstory. Or heck... even their background music.

Like Ganondorf in LOZ Oacrina of time.

His theme music ALONE gives me CHUCK loads of inspiration... the way it strikes fear and darkness when he's around.

And his laugh... COMBINED with that music after what he does well... WHOOOOO!

My fav scene in the entire game is when he imprisons Zelda and takes her to his castle while taunting Link to come and face him.

That's how I feel when I torture the characters.

Since I am the writer, all characters will do, think and say exactly as I type them too (That's how characters are... they have to take orders) I'm showing them who's boss.

I also like scenes in which the character, after being dumped or heartbroken rejects any and all forums of kindness and goes off on their own.

Like in Homeward Bound II

After Delilah decides to dump Chance, as he a pet and she is a stray dog (Even though they get back together at the end) I highly approve of Chance's actions.

He decides to leave, and while Shadow tries to convince him not to...

Chance: "Just leave me alone, Old Timer! I don't need you... or Sassy... or her! (Delilah) I don't need anybody, I'm outta here!"

He storms off leaving Delilah feeling remorseful. Even though she SUPPOSEDLY did the right thing... she feels terrible.

...MAN, I can't get enough of that kinda stuff!

Heck, I want to see Beast Boy do that...

BB "Just leave me alone, Robin! I don't need you... or Titans... or her! (Terra) I don't need anybody, I'm outta here!"

It's just too good not to...

Then again, another of my favorite inspirations is NOT MAKING UP... and distancing each other after a fallout.

Beast Boy renounces the Titans as friends, and telling them they are ONLY teammates, and from then on, he goes to incredible lengths to ignore them, and deny them any forgiveness.

The only time he will interact with them is when during hero time... other than that.

-Eat at different hours
-Refuse any and all invites (to play games, train, hang out, or go places)

I'm enjoying watching the other Titans be upset and hurt by what BB is doing, as well as finally realizing maybe they went too far.

Maybe it'll result in an irreparable fallout

Which brings me to my final LIKABLE preference for plots for this blog...

Ultimate fallout...

After everything said and done, the character will STILL not forgive the others or be willing to change their ways.

One way this can be done is by an act of SUICIDE... inspired by the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror, when the haunted house destroys itself.

Lisa Simpson: It chose to destroy itself rather than live with us. You can't help but feel a little rejected.

Hoo-hoo-hoo... I like... I like...

I have ideas for that...

The two siblings seemingly make up for their quarrel, and hug... but then you hear a gunshot, and the nasty sibling looks up at you grinning "...See ya!" and it turns out they shot themself, choosing to end their life rather than forgive, forget, and start over. Showing they really hated you that much and were so desperate to get away... and leaving the rest of the character hurt and rejected like Lisa said. "You can't help but fell a little rejected."

I'm not trying to promote Suicide in reality, I know it's wrong. But when it comes to fictional stories... thumbs up!

Then again it doesn't have to be suicide, it can be a simple cold rejection and stomp off in a huff, like on Shrek.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH...!!!

One idea I have for a scene is... Twilight convinces the evil gang to give up their ways, and she's willing to help them, and in the end, everyone, including the leader, and their young sibling handing over their powers away, fully giving up on the conquest.

the army and the younger sibling are ready to head into Ponyville or Canterlot to celebrate the start of this new friendship, but the older sibling (The leader) is not and begins to walk off alone.

when stopped and questioned...

The Leader: "I agreed to give up my powers. I have not forgiven the princess, nor do I wish to be friends with her, or any of you."

Young sibling: "But brother/sister--"

The Leader: "...You... are no sibling of mine; not now that you have aligned yourself with the likes of them. You are no longer part of my life."

*Takes off the precious locket with their photos inside... and crushes it.*

*Walks off and vanishes out of sight*

YS: *Tearfully* "...Brother/sister."

The song plays... and you get the idea.

Ahhhhhhhh... that feels good. That's my food.

So what if it's wrong to you?

So what if even I know it's wrong, cold, or harsh; I still like it and prefer THAT happen in the story.

"Because you are a sociopath, period. Thank you so much for proving me right."

Yeah... So? Not like it matters or changes anything...

"So get off this site and leave the fandom alone."

My heavens, you have such a complex towards Sociopaths. (Admitting I have one for cartoon characters) Nonetheless, there's no sign here that says "No Sociopaths Allowed"

the more you try to justify your actions and pretend no one is allowed to be happy and that those who are deserve your scorn and vengeance The more people will realize that you're seriously not well in the head.

And...?

And yet none of your so-called revenge is Justified against these characters, you just don't answer me because they didn't act the way you wanted to. That's not Revenge, that's being a bully.

No, it isn't bullying. Not when it comes to cartoon characters (It's still part of the story anyway, regardless of why I do it.)

You are still bullying me by sending me all these flames. Therefore you ARE a bully.

some great ideas, although I'm more partial to bittersweet endings, for example...

The Leader: "I agreed to give up my powers. I have not forgiven the princess, nor do I wish to be friends with her."

Young sibling: "But brother/sister, what about us"

The Leader: "...brother/sister...i will always love you, no matter what, but I'm sorry, but i cannot align myself with the likes of them. it wouldnt be right."

*Takes off the precious locket with their photos inside... and gives it back to them.*

The leader:i promise i will be back.... but not for a while.

*Walks off and vanishes out of sight*

YS: *Tearfully* "...Brother/sister."

and as for Shrek, that's the only part i didn't like was that damned misunderstanding, its like, we already know whats gonna happen, they're gonna reconcile later on, why even put this there, if its to prove how the characters developed then fine, after all, it made the reconciliation all the more better to me, but still, its a dated and worn-out cliche, that oughta be phased out
