My (possibly overlooked) collab stories

Looking at my profile, one might think that the long-stalled "Trial of Cozy Glow" is the only pony narrative I ever penned. And it's true it's the only one I ever did all on my own. However, in my first couple of years on Fimfiction, I did work with the much more well-known author SuperPinkBrony12 to produce some stories based around our mutual interests. Given that we both contributed to each story (and he often did more of the actual writing), it was a no-brainer to put them up on the profile of a prolific author with a well-known "brand" rather than an unknown newbie. However, while he has always been conscientious in giving credit when I had any part in a story's creation, I just recently realised that someone discovering me from elsewhere would have no path to lead them to these works. So here they are, and maybe enjoy some of the rest of his stuff while you're there?

Our first work together was Hippotty Training, although to be honest, that was more him taking an idea I had in a thread and running with it. Still, it set a precedent.

Our biggest shared project came later in the year - Potty Training Tales, an open-to-all-authors anthology on a self-explanatory topic. As well as helping come up with the basic idea, I myself actually contributed the bulk of a few early chapters - A Belle Blitz (Sweetie Belle) , Housebreaking Applejack (Applejack), A Pot of Silver (Silver Spoon) and Moon v.s. Sparkle (Moondancer) - although all of them include plenty of SPB12's handiwork as well. Although I drifted away from the project some after that, it's still very much ongoing under his guidance as of the end of 2021 - a lot longer than I likely envisioned when we first discussed it two-and-a-half years earlier. (I particularly recommend the chapters by Yosh E-O.)

Our next shared idea was the belated Hearth's Warming story All Creatures Great And Small (Can't Foalsit), a nice little Young Six thing that's less focused on potty training than the above (it is still in there, though). This time I only supplied ideas, with SPB12 doing all the writing.

I think I may have contributed some actual writing to our next fic, Just Mares Talking (no relation to MythrilMoth's). It's our first story without any potty training, or even actual kids at all - just a discussion by the Manes, about midway through the show, on the topic of each of their prospects and goals relating to marriage and parenthood. (Oh, and how they learned the "facts of life".)

Our last collaboration to date was last autumn, and perhaps it's symmetry that it's another hippogriff-focused story - More Precious Than Pearls, a sweet little "sibling bond" tale that has cute young seaponies and no potty stuff.

I don't know if I'll ever work with the guy again to create, but never say never, right? And even if it's just the above, I'd like to express my gratitude to him for helping me get some of my ideas out there even though I suck at actually getting them written. Oh, and also for being one of my first friends in the fandom and a pretty cool guy in general, as far as I can tell. Thanks!
