Shoot! I forgot to post this... oh well. 
Well, I guess it's time for Late Question of the Week... So here is the question. Should I try to redesign my old OC?

I also used this OC to represent me during my mlp youtube reading.
However, I for the most part now write slice of life, comedy, mystery and romance; so, I haven't used this OC in a long time. So, what do you think? Should I maybe try to bring back this OC but redesign them to be less edgy/grim?

I think a refresh would be beneficial to you! Sometimes we ALL have to look at our old works and think, "it's good, but I can do better now". This is that opportunity to do so! I say go for it!

I used an eighth note with two Zs in the tail for my avatar’s cutie mark when I first started and now that really doesn’t fit, like I haven’t written music in forever (no room for my keyboard).

Maybe have it be technically the same pony, but after having the in-character realization that he's a grimderp who nobody could take seriously and changing for the better? We need to give the internet real role models, and that could be a start.
