No worries, stories and chapters are still being worked on, this isn't a "I'm quitting on everything" post.
Just a quick update.
I got a bit more writing done on the final chapter over the holiday break, not as much as I wanted to, but I did make a good bit of progress.
But I've had to take a bit of a break recently. I got taken to the hospital on Jan. 3rd after I suddenly got very dizzy and nauseous and had no balance, my body kept tilting and I couldn't walk without stumbling.
Turns out I was super dehydrated due to an infection that hadn't shown any symptoms yet, and I couldn't keep any of the fluids the hospital gave me down. I was only there for a few hours but I'm just now feeling better. Negative covid test too, for those wondering.
Today, Jan. 12th, I finally have my balance back completely, my head doesn't pound whenever I turn it anymore (I think my brain was literally sore), and I've finished off my antibiotics. I'm gonna get back to writing soon, so those of you who have been waiting patiently won't have to wait too much longer.
Again, feeling much better now, just giving an update as to why nothing's been posted yet. Also, still teaching. We're halfway through the year now and I gave the kids an assignment that I could do with my eyes closed last week, ha. As bad as I was feeling I only took one day off of work.

thank you. im mostly doing fine, job-wise. the fellow teachers i went to school with seem to be having a harder time than I am, at least the ones that teach high school.
but yeah, teachers are having a tough time atm, it’s a hard profession right now, between teaching remotely, Covid exposure, and kids’ reactions to essentially missing a year or two of social/emotional development. I have it lucky compared to most teachers right now 🙃

the last chapter has been sitting at about halfway done since forever, but i do have plans to finish this thing off, my job has been very demanding and my free time went to art for the longest time. But this story is very dear to me and deserves to get finished, and any sequel-type writings i had planned will most likely have to be one shots if they have any hope of seeing the light of day lol
thanks for still being interested, i had a thought that maybe the previous chapter felt too conclusive so no one was really itching for a finale, but i get that unfinished story guilt from time to time. i could see myself finishing it off soon tho
