Unlike many people, I always believed that despite looking and seeming similar to each other Moondancer and Twilight are actually quite different.

Alternate Idea for A New Generation Ending

What if ANG ended, with only Zephyr Heights being reformed?

The world would still be racist but Zephyr Heights atvleast would be making progress.

I think it would allow the racism to have to be resolved more slowly but allow for a future light hearted slice of life stories in Zephyr Heights while also keeping the goal of changing the world intact.

My Retelling: Twilight is an only child

Twilight doesn't have a brother. Shining Amror is her cousin. He sometimes drops by. She used to play with him a lot but they grew their seperate ways.

Cadance is very important for Twilight. Cadance is somewhat of a mentor figure. Unlike the reserved sometimes pessimistic Twilight, Cadance is outgoing and optimistic.

Don't feel sorry for Snowdrop. Be proud of Snowdrop. · 5:11pm Mar 2nd, 2022

This was going to be a Derpibooru comment.
I think people miss the point of Snowdrop.

Snowdrop is not about feeling sorry for her. No in fact I think it's the opposite. It's about instead of wishing for something you can't have like sight and moping that can't, you already can do something great.

It's like Toph could have not enjoyed life but she decided to working can do like earthbending or Scootaloo who even if she couldn't fly could do great tricks with her scooter.

Even the other grumbling students are there not to bully her or make us feel sorry for her as much as to emphasize the world's problem with a lack of appreciation for what most consider useless like winter. But Snowdrop proves what most consider useless can actually be something truly appreciated.

If only ponies applied that with Luna...

I hate it when people say Snowdrop is there to just make you cry, no it's about doing something even if others say can't do it and also like her mother (which is the friendship aspect), inspiring others that they can do the same.

I'm working on a Snowdrop story.

Blind Date

Snowdrop wasn’t asocial by choice. Her blindness prevented her from doing what most other pegassi could do. And since she couldn’t join them in their activities, she didn’t have the opportunity to form many bonds.

She basically only had one friend named Fluffy Pansy. It wasn’t that she had a lot in common with her, it’s just that everypony was friends with Fluffy Pansy. It was hard not to be. She was the sweetest pony around and everypony loved her. Officially, she was supposed to do policing in Cloudsdale, but she mostly just did friendshipping. At least when her superiors weren’t looking.

It may have been just wishful thinking, but Snowdrop thought there might have been even more between them. Whenever she got lost, and that happened regularly, she could always count on Fluffy Pansy to guide her back home.

Snowdrop knew her routes well and often waited for her at the empty spots so that she could talk one on one with her. Except for eavesdropping on ponies, she really had nothing better to do.

On that day however, Snowdrop ran a bit late and was afraid she’d miss her friend. If that happened, she’d have to wait for her to do another round, and waiting was something Snowdrop already had too much of in general.

When she ran toward the spot, even though she wasn’t supposed to ever run, she heard voices in the distance in front of her.

Snowdrop did what she always did upon hearing ponies talk. She half buried herself in the cloud, only peeking her head with her sharp ears out of it. Ponies could still see her, but they had trouble seeing her. It made no sense to her, but it often worked. Fluffy Pansy once told her that the color of her mane acts as a camouflage. Snowdrop didn’t know what a ‘color’ was, but she just assumed that she wasn’t just medium sneaky like she thought but super medium sneaky.

In her early years, she used to just walk up to them. But often they would just stop speaking, waiting for her to say something. But she didn’t really have much to say. She’d sometimes tell them to just keep talking to each other, but that never actually worked. It always just turned into a awkward situation for everypony involved.

With her cloud concealment method, she could be part of the conversations without disrupting said conversations. And if anypony detected her, she would just say that she’s nesting. That always confused everypony to such an extent that they stopped asking questions and left her stay in the spot.

She focused her sharp ears on the conversation before her.

“Wait, did you just look at me?” Fluffy Pansy said.

“Er, no. Of course not,” an unknown pony said.

It was very weird on multiple levels. Snowdrop knew everypony in Cloudsdale. And this pony was not one of them. Yet, her voice seemed familiar somehow, yet foreign.

“I could have sworn…” Fluffy Pansy said. “You’re my best pone, but girl, do you still surprise me sometimes.”

Snowdrop’s heart shattered. Apparently, she was not Fluffy Pansy’s best pony. Somepony else filled that honorable role. A mere stranger was more best to Fluffy Pansy than she was.

“Anyways, I gotta fly. My superior is watching me. Hear you around, friend.”

As soon as she heard the distinct sounds of Fluffy Pansy’s wings woosh away, Snowdrop dug herself out of the cloud and forcefully walked to her spot. She turned her head in the general direction of the ‘best’ pony and almost yelled, “What are you looking at, stranga?”

I like this so far! I love detailsblike about her camoflauge with her fur color.

And her tendency to eavesdrop. Quite sneaky.

And I like how even sweet Snowdrop can be jealous. It is somewhat understandble of course.

If I were to say one thing I think Snowdrop would be able to travel by herself since she stated that in the Snowdrop animation when the teacher asked if she could use assistance. (Just a pointer in case you wanna add that trait in).

But I like this story! I prefer seeing Snowdrop not as just a helpless filly like many critics think of her as, but as a filly who has her own gifts, quirks and flaws. Kinda like Toph from Avatar.
