Don't feel sorry for Snowdrop. Be proud of Snowdrop. · 5:11pm Mar 2nd, 2022
This was going to be a Derpibooru comment.
I think people miss the point of Snowdrop.
Snowdrop is not about feeling sorry for her. No in fact I think it's the opposite. It's about instead of wishing for something you can't have like sight and moping that can't, you already can do something great.
It's like Toph could have not enjoyed life but she decided to working can do like earthbending or Scootaloo who even if she couldn't fly could do great tricks with her scooter.
Even the other grumbling students are there not to bully her or make us feel sorry for her as much as to emphasize the world's problem with a lack of appreciation for what most consider useless like winter. But Snowdrop proves what most consider useless can actually be something truly appreciated.
If only ponies applied that with Luna...
I hate it when people say Snowdrop is there to just make you cry, no it's about doing something even if others say can't do it and also like her mother (which is the friendship aspect), inspiring others that they can do the same.
I'm working on a Snowdrop story.
I like this so far! I love detailsblike about her camoflauge with her fur color.
And her tendency to eavesdrop. Quite sneaky.
And I like how even sweet Snowdrop can be jealous. It is somewhat understandble of course.
If I were to say one thing I think Snowdrop would be able to travel by herself since she stated that in the Snowdrop animation when the teacher asked if she could use assistance. (Just a pointer in case you wanna add that trait in).
But I like this story! I prefer seeing Snowdrop not as just a helpless filly like many critics think of her as, but as a filly who has her own gifts, quirks and flaws. Kinda like Toph from Avatar.
