"You're joking." Zoom put her hands in her hooves. Every pore oozed contempt. "Please tell me you're joking."
"You didn't get weird about me liking sneakers. Why are all bent outta shape about this?"
She leveled a lazer beam gaze squarely at Thunder's forehead. "Because, dummy, most people don't join the Zephyr guards because they want to wear the funny hat."
"For your information," Thunder replied, squaring away the ceremonial dome of shining metal and feathers perched atop his head, "it's a plumed helmet."
Indulge me, if you will, in one conspiratorial rant.
The official mlp wiki states the turquoise-green pegasus guard as being named "Thunder." But in the fimfiction character tag, the name is changed to "Thunder Zephyrwing." This becomes import when you consider the same wiki, and fimfiction, both corroborate the emerald-colored pegasus guard as being named "Zoom Zephyrwing."
So who is correct? Is it Thunder? Or Thunder Zephyrwing?
THIS IS NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE FOR SHIPPING PURPOSES. Who is Thunder, and who is Thunder Zephyrwing? Are they the same pony? Is Thunder really Zoom's brother? That would make this fic an incest fic, and I already promised myself years ago I was done writing those. I'd have to banish myself to the sun for such degeneracy.
I chose to believe the tagging system merely states Thunder's added name "Zephyrwing" to identify him as the turquouise-colored pegasus guard from the G5 film, and not as some kind of hidden lore drop meant to tarnish my good name. They're not related, okay? THEY'RE NOT.
