Progress Log: April 1st, 12:33 PM

A little disappointing news but what is life without it's ups and downs, ay?

General Greeting

So, I got Andrea Libman but the lines were mixed up (happens and it's a miscommunication on my end.) A little disappointing because I waited in utter agony for them but I should have been clearer. This is all so nerve wracking. Took a lot of strength to even ask. I will say it was cool that she remembered who I was. Figured I'd be forgotten since she sees so many people. I don't expect her to stick with this project the entire time, so I'll have to look into getting someone who sounds like Pinkie Pie. As a milestone for me, I kinda have to have the original voice of Pinkie appear in this project somewhere. It's freaking Pinkie Pie. I'd be disappointed if I didn't at least try. As for Tara Strong, Ashleigh Ball, Tabitha St. Germain, and other MLP voice actresses and actors—I'll have to see. I could probably aim for everyone but Tara Strong. Although I have met her...twice I think, I seriously doubt she'd have time to voice Twilight. She's busy doing...well, everything. So, without further prattling on my end—you're here to see the progress correct?

Concept Art: The first portion (overview) of Cosmos's dimension has been completed. I actually posted it in the group Art for Fanfiction ---> here if you would like to see it. Cosmos was heavily inspired by Greek Mythology and Avatar. I've mentioned her before but she makes references to almost every pop culture/meme in existence at some point. She's even part of the Illuminati and hides a reference to Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls somewhere in her dimension. I'm thinking about engraving it within The Ruins of the Past. Mena's expressions have been completed, so now I have concept art that can help artists display her emotions correctly. Speaking of Mena, she also lives within a castle a thousand (or two) before Equestria became Equestria. Do you all remember the "Red Keep" before a mad queen on a dragon destroyed it in Season Eight? That's the inspiration for Mena's castle long before Celestia was a princess and The Elements of Harmony were even made. It will be 3D, have evidence of the previous nation, and be sculpted with the idea from the ouroboros. You can see the start down below.

Sound Effects: Asmodeus now has its first batch of sound effects. It has the sounds of a hyena, tiger, (dragon thing?,) an original roar, and wing-flaps mixed with flames. I don't know if this is the roar I want to stick with so I may explore other options. Asmodeus does not have a deep roar but more of a hyper-loud one like Godzilla. The magic effects for Mena may also be a bit of a hurdle. I'm thinking of sizzling, the whoosh of a flame, as well as whispers within it. As for her teleport sound, it will also sound like fire in a way. Since her wings are leather I'm thinking of the wing flap being powerful and similar to the sounds of wyverns and dragons. Still have to do my research on it.

Research: I am now researching cosmology (creation of the universe) and astronomy for Cosmos. She has a deeply rooted fascination for the stars, comsos, and darkness, that expands throughout their universe. In her dimension within the cliffside castle she has a giant telescope (still concept ideas) that she uses to study the alignments of planets and stars. I do like each character having their own hobbies, ideals, and missions, that do not surround the main character. Their life moves on without the main character, it expands, grows, and they learn while time passes. I will also be studying matter and how it plays a role in our universe. I may hire some people who are well read on these topics to go over my research and make sure it's accurate. Although this is fantasy, there will be a world that puts science above magic. So, both angles have to have an explanation that works. Mythology or science.

I will also begin my dive into demonology, Christian Mythology (for the sins,) and Witchcraft. This is to accurately define black magic, its role, its creation—and how it works. I mentioned that Mena is an alchemist. She is also a tarot card reader (but horrible at it) and an enchanter. She uses the art of illusions, potions, and predictions to trick and deceive enemies. She is fragile, but in the right situations powerful.

Extras (Designs and Music): Cosmos has a theme coming in one/two days. Soka96 (who did Everglade's theme) is taking great care with this theme and Cosmos's Easter eggs. It will be an arcade sort of theme reflecting how she sees life as a game. So, what better way to show her personality than to insert some popular game themes. Don't worry, not all of them will be game themes but I know at least 90% of those that listen will know the easter egg in the middle of the theme. Yes, why wouldn't Cosmos make a reference to Snoop Dogg? Chrysalis, Beelzebub, and Pinkie may be getting new or updated designs. Beelzebub will no longer be Longro, but Baal.
