So, I wrote a G5 story about Bit Coin, a deliberate play on bitcoin and the G4 currency of bits. I mocked crypto heavily and then took a swipe at NFTs as the outro.
Not to put too fine a point on it, I consider crypto a ponzi scheme, and my story made that clear.
Twice in 24 hours, I've had spam accounts drop comments into that story to plug a crypto exchange. The first one is already banned and now I've reported the second and it'll go pbbbbt as soon as the mods wake up.
What I don't understand is why these crypto morons are advertising crypto in the comments to a story that mercilessly mocks cryptobros.

Bots don't read stories they scan for key words and flag on them.
What 5648280 said. Bots are dumb. Their programmers often moreso.
You used the word bit coin. Algorithms are used to cast a wide net searching for key words like that and other buzz words like crypto. Though putting it in comments on this site seems weird. Not sure what kind of methodology they used to capture a pony site. Maybe it considers FimFic an "adult literature" site.

Bots aren't known for their sense of irony or sarcasm. Once a bot can do that, I'll consider it for true sapience.
More of a pyramid scheme, but yeah.
I once insulted NFT's on Twitter only to have several NFT bots post after the insult, self-owning.
