April 2022 Update: Signal Boost, Coffee Restart, Post-Graduation Sabbatical · 2:57am May 3rd, 2022
There are some major things to report on, but before that, I'd like to signal-boost KorenCZ11's Ghosting.
It's a follow-up on Rainbow Dash and Soarin's family, with the former having become so doting, it's overbearing. When it has affected one of their children in more ways than one, it's up to Soarin to figure out how to stop it all from blowing over and scarring his family... and it might involve searching for and revealing dark truths about his history.
I've helped proofread/edit the fic, and it's been a fun ride getting to this point! Don't miss out on it.
- The Crystal War may or may not publish with its first chapter within May as I still have to provide updates to a proofreader before things begin.
- The "Autumn Empire" story is currently being self-edited once more before having another go at being proofread.
- I am currently in the non-fan fiction phase of my reading list, simultaneously going through Nora Roberts' first two Stanislaski novels (1990's Taming Natasha then 1991's Luring a Lady) and, more importantly, Philippine national hero's Jose Rizal's Noli Me Tangere. I was also able to borrow the first two books of Paolini's Inheritance cycle... and the fourth one, but I'm holding that over until I can get a copy of the third book first.
- I confess that I haven't been updating my Buy Me a Coffee Page with daily (except Sunday) progress reports on my writing. I've rectified that starting yesterday, with a teaser in the form of a public progress report, though short (although it's the first time I've added a picture there!)
- It's all but officially confirmed that I'll be taking a sabbatical after my graduation at May's end, giving me time to rest before I start actively looking for work. On the writing side, that means more leeway in case of more delays regarding the Crystal War story and a running head start for the next long story in the pipeline (which I code-named "Catcher Four", set in the Magical Curiosity universe).
That will be all for now. May Jesus bring you to thrive today.
