Believe it or not, I actually got some chores done today.

And that's saying something, because if Diablo IV was this good at any point last year, it would have definitely been near the top of my Best Games of 2023. You know, instead of being omitted entirely.

So let's just say that Armored Core VI absolutely just got smacked out of the running for Best Yesteryear Game.

    Updates and Such

Well, as a thunderstorm rolls overhead (and hopefully doesn't knock power out), I thought I'd offer some updates on what I've been up to.

Long story short, I'm pretty much in gaming overload at the moment.

If this is how Twitter reacts for pre-order marketing, I can't wait until launch. · 4:25am Aug 28th, 2022

Ah, Hogwarts Legacy. You're not even out yet, and you've doled out so much entertainment already, mainly in the form of internet drama.

My meme. Plz steal.

When the gameplay reveal of Hogwarts Legacy happened back in March, there was a very vocal minority on Twitter screaming at everyone and anyone who would listen to not buy the game. I blogged about that experience back in March.

Now to those who don't know, I'm bi leaning gay. There always seems to be some shocked readers whenever that comes up (gestures broadly at all of my shipping stories). So, obviously, I am a part of the LGBT community, though there are times I try to distance myself.

Because there seems to be those, however few there are, who seem to think that the entire LGBT community should be a monolith; of absolutely one mind when it comes to issues that affects us as a community. I've dealt with those people online and off.

To that I say: Bull. Fucking. Shit.

I got blocked by two people today on Twitter (not sure if that's a record) when I confronted them that there are trans people who are looking forward to Hogwarts Legacy. And countless more in the LGBT community who don't really give a fuck about JK Rowling, and they aren't going to let her opinions to sway them to abandon the Wizarding World that so many grew up with. They seem content to plug their ears whenever others don't agree with their draconian worldview.

I wish they'd wake up and realize that the LGBT community is not going to align every single goddamn fucking facet of our lives to account for the plight of the trans community. There comes a point, quite frequently, that no one gives a fuck what you think.

It's a fucking video game. A lot of you need to grow up.

Bonus:
Got this doozy off of r/mlp today.

Man, some things never change. People are STILL upset over those 2 episodes. (granted I'm not the biggest fan of either episode but still)

There's a YouTuber/Twitch streamer that I watch, and I'm reminded of what he says from time to time about this sort of thing: "There is no ethical consumption in capitalism."

It just goes to show that there are people in the world that should be ignored.

Regardless there's some pretty easy lines. Giving up one video game title doesn't compare to someone telling us to quit driving our car or buy necessities at affordable prices.

The meme reminds me of something I've been saying for a while. The harder you Karen and go on about how something hurts your feelings, the harder people are going to do that activity just to spite you and your damn feelings even harder. Because you just had to go and virtue signal your weakness.

I am so glad I was kicked off Twitter (hilariously ironic, the reason was for defending a trans person being dogpiled by a member of “The Alphabet Committee”… but any anger or comments towards the offender went to another person’s handle *because they cheekily had an all lowercase name save for a single “i” that was capitalized to look like a lower case “L”* and when I corrected people telling them they were getting upset at the wrong handle instead of the one calling for the dog pile and then told them the correct handle, the dog piler whined to Twitter claiming I was inciting violence towards them… and Twitter’s automod agreed lol).

I don’t gotta deal with this unnecessary drama or the “doom scrolling” anymore.

But on to a different topic: Besides Hogwarts Legacy, any other games coming out you’re looking forward to? This year for me I want the new Ghostbusters asymmetrical multiplayer game, Squanch Game’s new one “High on Life”, and The Callisto Protocol.

I'm at 34-year-old lesbian and so glad never had a Twitter and I'll never will I get one Ive get enough drama on Tumblr to last a lifetime no several lifetimes.

Atomic Heart is a must buy for me. We got an alternate history setting, MICK GORDON on soundtrack, and bioshock like gameplay. Only problem i have with the game is that it will either be playable in Russian with subtitles, or your choice of dubbing.

This year? Not sure if anything is coming to mind.

I hope Halo Infinite starts to seriously turn things around with Season 3 in November. Also the Dead Space remake in January, those are the big two currently.

I'm also very much looking forward to Forza 8, but that doesn't have a release date yet.

Whatever new games they are, I'm looking forward to putting this 3080 Ti through its paces, and I only hope my 9700k CPU can keep up.

A lot of online groups are like this.
