Believe it or not, I actually got some chores done today.

And that's saying something, because if Diablo IV was this good at any point last year, it would have definitely been near the top of my Best Games of 2023. You know, instead of being omitted entirely.

So let's just say that Armored Core VI absolutely just got smacked out of the running for Best Yesteryear Game.

    Updates and Such

Well, as a thunderstorm rolls overhead (and hopefully doesn't knock power out), I thought I'd offer some updates on what I've been up to.

Long story short, I'm pretty much in gaming overload at the moment.

Been getting ready for Game Day. · 9:39pm Oct 17th, 2022

Turns out when you upgrade to a 4K monitor, you have to re-enter a lot of streaming info into OBS.

I have also made a decision of what I will be playing on Saturday, November 5th, starting at or very close to 8:00 am.

The 'Master Chief Saga' playlist in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Four games, forty-four missions, back-to-back, for the kids!

I've decided that rather than showcase Division 2's unsolved stability problems and risk getting pissed on stream in front of my single-digit audience, I'll just go for a longer marathon. This will also most likely be a solo run, so I'll be getting some energy drinks as we get into the evening and late-night hours, but even still, not sure I'll be able to make it the full 24 hours. But I will certainly give it my best shot.

The online controller viewer suddenly decided to start working as well, so I'll probably have a controller overlay too.

I've raised $700 of my $1000 goal by throwing in small chunks every payday, so I'm pretty confident I'll hit four digits this year and nab that gold medal. As my luck would have it, Extra Life announced a custom mechanical keyboard for those that double that at $2000.

I'm not going to hold my breath on that one; I'll be plenty proud just for hitting $1k.
