The storm is breaking on the Horizon.

It's been two months since the battle against Nightmare Moon. Luna is recovering, Celestia is busy turning the government back into a diarchy, and the Mane Six have returned to their lives. All seems well, but when Celestia discovers that half of the power of the Elements of Harmony have been transferred to each of the Bearers, she decides to send thirteen mysterious members of the Royal Guard to monitor them as they manifest and develop their new abilities.

The sins of a forgotten war still linger, and an ancient evil lurks in the shadows, just waiting for the right time to strike. The Mane Six suddenly find themselves once again at the heart of a conspiracy to bring about Eternal Night, and only by awakening their powers and realizing their full potential can they do anything to stop it. Friends both old and new will help them along the way, and an unseen force will guide them as it seeks to right a wrong made thousands of years ago. The Bearer's journeys will take them outside the borders of Equestria and into the world beyond, and when they return, they'll have the power and experience necessary to save the world and bring about balance in all things.

Secrets, they have the power to destroy friendships, topple empires and slay giants. Secrets can be evil, hurtful or even deadly but sometimes, some things must be kept secret for if the world were to know of them then it would bring about its destruction.

The average pony’s secrets could bring a family to ruin or tempt a disaster to strike an innocent town. So, if that is what an average pony’s secrets can do, what can the secrets of a God bring?

A thousand years ago Nightmare moon was defeated but she was not the only evil to disappear all those years ago. Now, that very same evil, one of Celestia’s greatest secrets will be revealed for all of Equestria to see and on that day, that evil will return once again to enact its vengeance upon those who attempted to destroy it so long ago, only this time, Equestria may not survive its brutal resurrection.

A long time ago they were four warriors that fought off evil with the power of the elements of nature. They fought Erebus and two sacrificed their lives to save Equestria.

A thousand years later Erebus returns and has his eyes on the elements of harmony and their bearers.

So Aura, Gaea, Amphitrite and Hestia hand their powers down to the young pegasus mare Rainbow Dash and she will become Iris, spirit of the elements of nature.

But with having to deal with being the new wonderbolt, a curious alicorn close to revealing her identity, three noisy fillies almost getting killed, lying to friends, having a crush on a certain wonderbolt and being Equestria's new hero it ain't going to be easy.

Princess Celestia huffed as she flew as fast as she could to the meeting place, located in Cloudsdale, a little ways above and near Ponyville. She held the bundle she was carrying with extreme caution with a face of desperation, determined to get it there on time.

Her small alicorn form landed on the nearest cloud before looking behind her, seeing a small rainbow light coming right behind her, following her trail.

"Shoot," she muttered before running forward again. She huffed loudly as she ran through the dark streets of the mobile city made of condensed water vapor that will never fall. The princess of the Sun looked down at the bundle in her right hoof as it began to move before looking back up again.

Soon, after mixing her trail, she arrived at the meeting place, where two ponies, a stallion and a mare, were waiting patiently.

"She is on my trail," Princess Celestia huffed as she came to a stop in front of them. "You know what you must do." The stallion nodded quickly before she continued. "Same hair color. Make it work for as long as you can, no matter what."

"Of course," he said desperately.

"All you have to do is make sure she is happy," the princess told the mare. "Make sure she lives her life and suspects nothing. I will return when she is ready for the truth of her origin and purpose."

"Yes, your highness," the mare responded. Celestia nodded before hearing the faint roar of her pursuer coming closer. She looked back down and lifted the covers to reveal a small foal asleep, snuggled against the softness of the blanket. She smiled as a tear escaped her eye before she leaned down and kissed the foals forehead, nuzzling her rainbow colored mane.

"I will return, my daughter. My Rainbow Dash."

(Currently in the midst of starting off the series. If I work hard enough, the story will be finished as early as by the end of next month!)

Rainbow Dash done something special for her friends that she never done before, will Princess Celestia accept her as an alicorn? Let's see what happens.

Rainbow Dash isn't your ordinary pegasus. She has a secret ability that ponies thought only unicorns and alicorns could posses. Magic! Not magic like Twilight's though, Rainbow's is stronger. And it's dark magic.

Sorry I suck at descriptions

So I had a weird dream where I saw Rainbow Dash ruling the Crystal Empire like Sombra did and thought, "Hey would it make a cool story if Rainbow Dash was secretly King Sombra's daughter and had a stronger version of his abilities?" So here it is! Not too harsh in the comments please, this is just an experimental story to see where it goes. Helpful advice is always welcome though!

Rainbow is having a normal day untill, Twilight says they need to see Celestia. Celestia has BIG news for the cyan pegasus. Rainbow is told that the fate of Equestria lies in her hooves. Can Rainbow defeat her new foe, the new of king of their foe country, Night Shade from taking over Equestria? Or is he REALLY the villan? And maybe Dash will be swoon by the new king? Stein was a pony that was not liked. He dreamed that one day he will become the ruler of Equestria but when the princess told him that he couldn't he was upset and he ran away from home and found himself on an island. He finds an orb that sucks the life energy out of the mane 6 and the princesses. he uses it to make him ruler of the kingdom. Rainbow Dash happens to escape his lab and tell Celesta that the other 5 are dead. What will she do?

Sombra and Rainbow Dash took over the Crystal Empire, Equestria now finds itself at war. Then after the first major battle Sombra makes an unexpected move, a peace treaty. But what will it mean for the future of both nations.
