A voice in the chimney asks her not to do so.

A collection of stories of the Mane 6's lives during the holidays, a few tales of fun, adventure, and of course the festive feeling of joy, all based on Christmas carols.

A living document, this story will updated as songs are listened to and what ideas come to me.

A holiday tale in which Cheerilee learns the true meaning of the word "wassail"; Granny Smith fails to learn the true meaning of the word "polymath"; and somehow, amidst it all, three flowers finally begin to put down roots. Happy Twelfth Night, everypony.

Foolish enough to wander into the Everfree forest alone, Fluttershy is saved from a Timberwolf attack by a strange bipedal alien. Injured she is taken to the creature's cave. With the help of his changeling friend the alien saves Fluttershy's life and tells her the story of Second Chances.

Just something I threw together over the last two days for Christmas. Enjoy.
Uses characters from and is part of The Dusk Guard.

Hearth's Warming. A time of joy and cheer, of generosity and love.
Not so much for the Apple Family, though.
Winter means the end of crop season, and money is hard to come by. The family, however, protects their pride by celebrating small... meaning not at all.
When Twilight and and the rest of the mane six find this out, they spring into action, wanting this Hearth's Warming to be one especially for them. One to remember forever.

This is another experimental-ish piece, working with symbolism, emotional development, complex scenes with lots of characters interacting, and world-building.
Of course, you can ignore all that and just read a story about tiny talking horses with magic powers. That's good, too.

After the Hearth's Warming Eve Pageant Discord breaks out of his stony prison, angry that the pageant is historically incorrect by leaving him out of it. Not to be deterred by the Elements until he shows everypony the true history of Hearth's Warming Eve he stops the Elements from being activated and tells them of the true history of Hearth's Warming Eve. In a fit of indignant rage he takes Hearth's Warming Day away from them. Will they be able to find a way to save Hearth's Warming Day and defeat Discord before It's to late? Read all about it in this story of singing rabbits, agonizing torture by paperwork, and magically induced rhyming!

She is the last. All her kin are gone. They'd either been blown apart by the Friendship spell so many ages ago or, in the case of her sister, changed their diet from hate to love. Cryoxia is the last of the windigos, but she is determined to be different, to never go back to those days ever again.

She'll make friendship from hate. She'll adopt an alicorn foal as her sister. She'll take physical form and learn how to move the celestial orbs with her mind. Celestial... has a nice ring to it. And she'll ally with the other nations in the world, establish friendship and preach harmony, no matter how they may diminish her food source. She'll make a world so wonderful that it will starve her to death.

Or die trying.
