Principal Celestia finds herself faced with a problem no amateur botanist should have to confront: singing plants. Luckily, the mirror portal offers easy access to one of the best magical horticulturalists in the multiverse – one with more than a century of experience, who is not about to let herself be outsmarted by a bunch of overgrown weeds.

At first, the sirens were bound by Adagio's mad experiment in cooperation. Then they were bound by circumstance, the only three of their kind in an almost magicless world. Then they became human, and were bound by nothing. The end result was inevitable.

And yet, in spite of both reason and instinct, Sonata Dusk feels like two pieces of her heart are missing. She's going to have to deal with that.

Part of the Oversaturated World. Reading the prequel will be helpful for context, but not strictly necessary. Rated Teen for sirens doing siren things, which involve a fair amount of biting and cursing.

Even now that magic has become commonplace, an unsuccessful business is still an unsuccessful business. But the magical geodes just might give Gloriosa the boost she needs to save Camp Everfree in her own way, much to Timber's dismay.

This fanfic is set in the same world as Oversaturation by FanOfMostEverything. I recommend you read that story before this one, otherwise some references could be confusing.

You know the story: The sirens rampaged across the land, sowing havoc until Star Swirl the Bearded banished them to a magicless backwater of a universe full of naked apes.

The problem with historical narratives, as Clover the Clever can attest, is that the reality is rarely so cut and dry.
