Just throwing it out there that I'm going around and seeing a lot of people complain about good stories not getting recognition. Well... that's your fault. Good stories are getting featured here, and I'd recommend that anyone here drop everything and read them. It's the week-end, after all: what else are you gonna' do with your time?

You implied you had an idea as to how many lemon related stories were out there. Off you pop: go submit 'em.
We've got three persons on our submissions folder now. And we have a lemon folder to fill. And a resident lemon to fill it.
We could even have a special thread just for chappie explaining why a story satisfies the lemon requirement for the specific folder. That sort of thing would never survive as a separate group, but it could be a fun little addition here, if our resident lemon isn't afraid of the odd lemon-centric review.

What are you implying, Psi? Do you think I have no taste in choosing featured stories?! If you have a problem with the stories I'm choosing, why don't you say it to my face?!
...sorry, got a bit emotional. It's been a hell of a day.
Anyway, my reasoning for choosing it is simple: I was rushed on time, and saw one of the only genres we'd yet to feature was the Crossover genre. In my rush, I just chose the first crossover I saw that had made it in.
I'd sooner go over to the Badfic Bin, and choose to feature one of the stories in that group over here. (Clop and I don't get along.)

I would disagree, but knowing what I know about the crossover genre in fanfiction (and this coming from someone who tries his best to write it well
), I can totally understand how one could get from 'crossover' to 'porn' in fanfiction. 
Very sad, but also true; they're pretty much nextdoor neighbors as far as fanfic genres go. 
4409537 The sad fact of the matter is that 94% of all clop, crossovers and HiE come from the same 5% of all fanfiction writer, primarily made up of 14-26 year old males who ... yeah. You know what I mean.
The fact is, your the other 6% and should be damn proud of it!

So I think you can be certain you've done something right if I said even one good thing about your story. It just so happens, I said several good things about it, so I think you're in the clear.
Really, for all the dumb stuff that happens in porn, I can kinda see the point of it some of the time. The point of most stories is to emphasize with the characters, and want them to be happy. We want them to get what we want, and that includes happy endings, things to go right, and almost always some form of social connection, especially romantic ones. Sex is part of that, and I can, at the end of the day, see the appeal of it for more than just porn for porn's sake. We want the characters to be happy, and nothing makes people happy like rumpy-pumpy. It makes sense.
Crossovers, interestingly enough, don't do that for me. Very rare have been the times I've seen crossovers as more than 'this guy in Equestria: how curious, amirite' or 'these two worlds meet, how fun' which for me have less reason to exist than porn. The best I remember have been Stardust, which used the crossover material to highlight Twilight's struggle and personality, and your own story that used the batman origin story to explore Derpy's. The only other crossovers I've given much approval to are the ones that really don't flaunt the fact they're crossovers, and make it very easy for me to forget the green-grey tag.
So there you have it. I may be one of the few people alive who values gratuitous porn over crossovers and can explain why. (By a teeny, tiny margin, but still)
