Before doing anything (besides reading the rules), please introduce yourself in the following manner:

Your name

Which Side of the War you're apart of - XCOM, Aliens or EXALT

Your Position in that fraction - Are you a Scientist? An Engineer? A Soldier?

Your Favorite Unit

Your Least Favorite Unit

How Many Games You Got Under your belt

Any other unique facts to you

And one other thing to leave off on.

TheIdiot

XCOM

Colonel Ranked Psionic Sniper, part time Tinkerer

Gonna have to go with Snipers, they are efficient as all hell.

Chryssalids... nuff said.

XCOM Enemy Unknown: 12 games, XCOM Enemy Within: 8 games.

I despise Myers with a passion, I think the Animatrix is better than the Matrix trilogy, knows much (I don't know everything but I know much), is a Whovian (I think Mofit is Better than Davis and Rose Tyler sucks), I'm a Team Fortress 2 fan and I really like it when I can tell stories with others.

Let it be known, that I believe very firmly that "Everything is Subjective"

Enemy Unknown: 3 Enemy Within: 4

I like playing video games and reading a lot of fan fics. I have around 700 hours of Civ V. I like to think that I am a good writer, but lazy as hell.

See ya later.

XCOM

Colonel Gene-Modified Sniper, part time artist(kinda).

Snipers with Squad Site and Mimetic Skin are the ultimate Deus Ex Machina of any XCOM EW game. Gonna go with Snipers overall.

I hate Sectopods with a passion. A PASSION.

Not that many, unfortunately. Got into XCOM through Stardust. I'll say around three.

I have a game library the size of Mount Everest, I love Bioshock and Half-Life, I love Scifi in general, and I am currently writing my own Half-Life/MLP crossover fic.

"Why can't I think of anything inspirational to put here?"

XCOM

Lowly engineer peon that fills Shen's coffee

Riflemen from Long War. Never go anywhere without two, and they're my lifesavers.

Thin Crit Men.

Interestingly enough, I have only one game for EU and EW at the moment. All of my other games I stretch out and never actually finish.

I had a chance to sing in Carnegie Hall in New York when I was in high school, though it's been years since I've flexed the golden pipes. Crossovers are my favorite genre of stories because of the clash of settings and personalities that result, as well as the interesting developments that come from them. I'm also a fan of anime and a large number of cooperative games.

As for the final thought, I'll have to borrow from RWBY:

"Everyone is entitled to their own sorrow, for the heart has no metrics or form of measure."

Name: Shark
Affiliation: XCOM
Rank/pos: Engineer

Favorite Unit: Pascals
Least Favorite Unit: Meters
Games: Many...

Unique facts:
I'm told I have a unique sense of humor. I used to be a bit of a Trekkie, but while the new ones [the reboots] are visually appealing they lack a lot of the story/emotionality (gravitas?) of their predecessors (compare Wrath of Kahn to Into Darkness). I enjoy Dr. Who, but really haven't see all that much of it. As far as writing goes, I'd like to be able to do/complete my more serious stories... though there are times when being able to sit down and write humor, then re-read it and find myself laughing is a great feeling.

Thing to leave off on? I dunno; I'm currently writing on Rainbow Dash Eats a Kitten if you're in the mood for some random humor stop on by and give it a read. (And if it makes you laugh I'd love to know.)

Name: General Pooter Van Muter
Affiliation: Aliens
Rank: General of the Alien Invasion

Favorite Unit: Mutons!
Least Favorite Unit: Filthy Dirty Humans
Games: 30ish

I've heard nice things about a human called "Peter Van Doorn". Tell me about him.
Go huddle somewhere! I promise I won't grenade you. PROMISE!

Really though,
Name: Sev62 FMJ -or- Duskfall
Affiliation: EXALT (damn straight)
Rank: That Lowly Ballistic Operative

Favorite Unit: Heavies
Least Favorite Unit: Cyberdicksdisks
Games: 30ish

"Stop ignoring me! I AM an actual threat! Stop laughing at me!"

- Arcshod
- SG-1
- Geologist and part-time horsefiction enthusiast
- That one dude of mine who spent an entire mission crying in the back of a minimart after getting shot.
- The big ones.
- Many runs begun, none complete.

I find the XCOM games hard to play. Not because they're difficult; I eat that stuff for breakfast and I take difficulty levels with special names as a personal challenge to my pride. I just find it hard to get personally invested in the setting. I find it a bit sterile and I end up losing interest after the first year or so.

Honestly though, Stardust picks up that slack really, really well. Love the characters and worldbuilding, with or without colorhorses. In fact, at times it almost feels like a crossover with the Stargate franchise as much as Pony. . . As if the Kaleidoscope wasn't just that. So yeah. Thanks for helping me enjoy a game I've tried to too hard to love, but with limited success.

"Every journey is simply a series of steps, but the first step is not always simple."
- D'ni proverb (translated)

-Sypher
-XCOM, Baby!
-Engineer -- what would you do without them?

-Snipers with squad sight make the game laughable.

-Chryssalids. I mean, they're not a big problem later on, but Site Recon + Long War makes me cry.

How Many Games You Got Under your belt
I beat Normal and Classic on Ironman, so 2 completed. After that I switched to Long War, died sad deaths, cried and stopped playing.

There is nothing unique about me.

"When you abstain, you can't complain."

- Zane Wolfe
- Former XCOM Civilian Specialist, now gone rogue
- Currently acting as an independent working with offworld XCOM forces, declared enemy of The Council

- The Gifted
- Humans & Ethereal forces

- Has played and beaten every single XCOM game save Bureau on every difficulty.

- I am old enough to have played UFO Defense when it first came out, and have been a fan of the series since then. While I was originally very skeptical about Stardust, I have found that I enjoy it far more than I expected.

- I stand before the Gates of Paradise, against the wicked. Before me are monsters and nightmares beyond counting, and yet I know that those on the other side of the Gate are safe. For I am Darkness, and no matter how terrible the evils before me are, I Am Worse.

Moonbeam

XCOM

Sciencer!

Hmm. Laser Tanks. Never really lasted long enough to tech the good stuff.

Anyone who doesn't put Chryssalids here is insane.

X-Com: Alien Defense ...far too many ;,;

Haven't played any of the remakes, only the original. I suck so badly at managing a secret organization!

[More stuff goes here. Also Matt = Best Pony.]

Mavik Felna
XCOM Assault trooper (tank not sprinter)
Gene-mod psychic volunteer sniper is best unit ever
HATES SECTOPODS! With cyberdisks and ethereals running close seconds
Finished the original XCOM dozens of times. EU at least a dozen with a few of those being impossible ironman, EW probably 8 times but only one impossible ironman. Long War, once in easy ironman, once in classic ironman and once in regular classic.
I have 7 kids, including 2 year-old twins, 4 granddaughters, 2 ex-wives, my wife is much younger than me, I've been on the internet and its predecessors for 30 years, been a gamer for even longer and would love to be able to write all the stories floating around in my head but get terrible writing anxiety every time I try.
"Let's be about it!" Catch phrase for Grimaine Stonefoe, my RPGA Living Greyhawk character

Nickname : Vanzgars.

Faction: XCOM ! Death to the xenos and the heretics !

Position : The janitor that everyone forgets.

Fav unit : MEC Trooper with grenade launcher and falcon punch.

Anything that flies. Those damned ADVENT Salt Lancer who just fearlessly run past high cover.

I've began one game of EU that I came close to finish, but never did,one game of EW in which I accidentally deleted my saves and have recently began an EU run.
EDIT:I have finally finished an EU run.
EU: 1
EW: 1
X2: 1
WoTC: 0

Hmmm. I like to make crappy puns.In fact,I often go out of my way to make the crappiest ones I can think of.

I may not be the most talkative (write-ative ?) person, but remember : I... will be watching.

Which Side of the War you're apart of - XCOM

Any other unique facts to you. something EXTREMELY uncanny happened. I only learned of this series just two days ago and just about a year ago I started a series that I am currently writing the second story on which has an ungodly amount of similarities to this series, Granted it was elder scrolls and not Xcom but still OwO
And one other thing to leave off on. I hope not to come off as a stalker or one of those "notice me sempai" individuals lol XD but I do greatly desire to speak with Arad and hopefully get some advice as well as explain my admiration to his rather impressive work
