So, I've now completed the last part of my four part story, Marking the Generations.
I've been working on this since around the beginning of the year and it's the first story I've written for MLP.
I'm very thankful for all who have read, liked and commented. I'm always open to more feedback and eager to hear what people think. I have ideas for follow up stories, the first of which I've started planning. Therefore, comments and feedback I can take on and make those even better are gratefully received.
Overview
Marking the Generations is a reimagining of the later stages of the Make your Mark series. Follow the adventures of Sunny, Hitch, Izzy, Zipp and Pipp as they make a new friend in Misty and meet two ponies from a past generation.
Twilight Sparkle has always done her best for Equestria. As her reign finally ends, she realises her final decision to safeguard Equestria will have consequences. However, let it not be said that Twilight Sparkle ever left Equestria to its own devices.
Calling Starlight Glimmer and Sunset Shimmer to the cutie map. She transports them through time to assist the new generation to identify the Elements of Unity and defeat the evil she was unable to alone. Will they eventually return to their own time victorious?
PART ONE
In part one of four, Misty is sent on missions to obtain items of great importance to Opaline’s plans. However, she finds herself questioning her place as Opaline’s protégé more and more. Meanwhile, Sunset and Starlight are called to the cutie map, only to find themselves abducted by it and being deposited in the future. Meeting a new generation of ponies, they are soon thrust into assisting them against a new evil.

Will our heroes unravel the mystery of Misty's dreams in time to find them? What of Opaline now she's lost her Protégé?

Will our heroes find the door to Misty’s Key? Will they find the Dragon Lands to warn the Dragon Lord about the Dragon Stone and help Sparky finally recover? Will they find the Elements of Unity and defeat Opaline?
