This movie was one of the last good ideas in Hollywood (and it's not even theirs as it's Japanese) and I still can't believe that it has been around a decade since the downfall started.

Ultimately, it was a good attempt, but didn't fully capture the magic. For the Godzilla crowd, a failure.
But, somehow, Hollywood didn't give up on the idea, and thank God they didn't, because we've been on a wild ride ever since.
