Synopsis

(Takes place after the season 9 finale, between Twilight becoming Supreme Ruler and before Luster Dawn)

Rarity was out for a stroll in Canterlot, taking a break from running her boutique, when she happens to find Spike, sitting by his lonesome, at Donut Joe's. Wanting to catch up, Rarity went over to greet Spike. Spike explains to Rarity that he had plans that day for him and Gabby, but the mail griffon was sick, thus bumming Spike out.

Wanting to cheer him up, Rarity decided to spend the day with Spike in Gabby's absence, rekindling an old spark between the two.

Wise chicken once said: "Absence makes the heart grow fonder."
