Sorry. That was too tough of a question for me to answer...
In terms of writers whom I would recommend without a second thought- SleeplessBrony. He's a great writer, and the fact that he and I have similar styles is what led me to realize that I would have an audience, here. I owe him a lot.

I'd like to see a story that...

Damn... I had an idea this morning, and I forgot.

Best thing I have ever written? Without a doubt- A Spark Between Them. It is in this group, and it is my first real attempt at a story mostly about the romance.

What I would like to add: Sex has an important part of life, and of love. Thus, want to include that in my story. In literature, it can have many uses. Thus, I want to use it in a variety of ways. My writing includes a running theme- life doesn't stop for you. Just because you are dealing with something major in your life doesn't mean that life and causality will wait for you to get done. Other things can and possibly will happen while you deal with your problems. Life won't wait for love. Might as well get used to it.

Doesn't mean that love ain't worth fighting for, though.

As for the nuances of sex- people mess up in it. Sex is awkward. Sex is frightening. Sex is arousing. Sex is addicting. Sex is beautiful. Sex is traumatizing. Sex is funny. Sex is serious. Sex is heartwarming. Sex is intimate. Sex is mysterious. Sex has many faces. None of them are masks. Sex is an important part of love. It has a depth nearly unparalleled.

Love... love is a many-splendored thing. It binds us. It connects us. It is unpredictable. It is nearly unstoppable. It has saved and ended lives. It can be all-consuming or all-saving. It has a dark side and a light side. A good side, and a bad side. Love... what can I say.

It's a hell of a thing to write about.

What got you into pony: That story is interesting, actually.
I'm a lover of all things tech, including cybersecurity (I plan on going into a career in the field). I was subscribed to a channel on Youtube that posted various new viruses and how they worked/how to remove them, and at one point he posted a video showing his new website, as well as an interesting feature. If you tried to go to a page that didn't exist, it showed a page akin to the "BEN DROWNED" creepypasta from 4Chan's /x/ board. That got me curious into THAT story, so I followed it for about 4 months (and got very little sleep during that time).
I got involved into the ARG of that story, and the people involved posted in a forum where they shared information for the ARG. One of the threads in the general forum, however, was this HUGE thread called "My Little Pony: I'm a grown man, why do I love this". It had over 400 pages at the time of my joining, making it the largest thread in the whole board. This got me curious, so looked into it. Loved the show, watched all the episodes, you know the drill, and then I was hooked.
What got you into romance: I had always enjoyed reading and writing romance stories just in my free time. This was merely just another medium in which to inject my romantic feels into it.
How did you hear about us: I was doing a sweep through the groups, joining whatever I might end up sticking my stories into.
Favorite Story/Writer: "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley. Because fanfiction is not something I read regularly.
Story you'd like to see: Something that isn't just a regurgitation of another already-existing story. "My Little Dashie", for example, has so many ridiculous sequels (and it was already an atrocious story in my opinion, just look at the writing style) that it makes me sick every time I see a story based on it in the "New Stories" section.
Best thing you've ever written (if any): "Alone", a HiE story focusing around the interactions between Scootaloo and a human, "Anonymous", that eventually blossoms into an emotional roller-coaster of feels that I believe captures the spirit of unrequited love very well. (Of course, I've not gotten to that point yet, so that's a bit of a spoiler, dohoho~)
Anything else you'd like to add: I'm from /mlp/, so expect my statements to be controversial to your views of MLP.
I have a very cruel disposition when it comes to certain stories, especially those that have self-insert OCs that are black-haired unicorns that are part pony, part vampire, part Safer, part Ghost-Rider, terribly-written romance with Rainbow Dash, inserted into the Cupcakes grimderp fanfiction. Yes, that story exists. It was written by a friend of mine. And yes, it is just as terrible as you are imagining it to be.
I've never gotten the "Featured" box, but I have 90 followers (at the time of this post) and have only been here for about 4 months.
I narrate stories with a deep voice. I have a thread over in the "Clopfics" group where people post short lines from stories and I narrate them, no matter the content.
My profile picture is the pony I use to represent myself. His name is "Wuten", and he is an insane unicorn, convinced he is the "King of Spaghetti". He is a master of conjuration of the pasta-kind. No, I did not take it seriously creating him. It's supposed to sound ridiculous, because it is.

What got you into pony: I caught an episode while trying to find cartoons for my daughter to watch that wasn't mindless crap. Hooked instantly.

What got you into romance: I guess it's just more interesting to read; it's not an absurd joke read, or some sad depressing read - romance (unless tragic romance) tends to make you feel warm and fuzzy with a happy end.

How did you hear about us: Noticed the group in some story tags as I read and wondered if mine would fit in

Favorite Story/Writer: Ardensfax

Story you'd like to see: Something out of the ordinary. M6 x Background pony, commonly shipped individuals not shipped together, etc etc. These background characters are blank slates for creativity, and breaking common fanons (ex. Vinyl/Tavi) gives new possibilities. If you're going to write something, have fun and create, not just churn out yet another common ship.

Best thing you've ever written (if any): Address Unknown - as you could tell from my answer above, I liked the idea of taking the 'crack-ship' and making it work and work well.

Anything else you'd like to add: There are plenty of other ponies in the show than the mane 6 and supporting cast. Find something that might intrigue you, like a lesser known pair that doesn't really seem likely, and think... "How would a romance work between this couple? How can I make it work?" Not to say I dislike normal stories, but it takes a lot of effort and thought to give life to a character that has nothing but a face, a color, and a name. Oh, and break the norm. Take what they expect and say "HECK NO, I'M NOT DOIN' THAT". Then do something random, maybe break out some fish and dance around slapping people with them. TL;DR - Be Creative.

Best Pony: Hard to choose - it's a toss-up between and . Love them both for much the same reasons, and for different ones as well. I tend to lean towards Applejack because she has so much untapped potential, which makes her a terrific character to get a new pony writer's feet (or hooves) wet.
