I'd like to point out the fact that Twilight started developing a crush on Flash Sentry. It happened, as much as I hate it and him, it happened. But then I was thinking he was a human when this took place. Twilight was, and still in her own mindset is an equine! We see that right off the bat!

So is she a furry? Or whatever the equivalent of a furry would be in Equestria (anthro?)

Xenophile, I think, would be a more appropriate term. She is in a literally alien* world. The creatures she's encountering are xenological curiosities. That she's attracted to one means she's probably a xenophile.
