So, out of a rather straightforward desire to see what the fuss was about, I watched Braveheart because it was on Instant Watch, and really, I was bored.
So, let's see if it was deserving of Best Picture.
I played a Firebird today. Not very well, mind you. I...I've never been more confused by a guitar than I have today.
The one I played was beautiful as anything you'd want in a guitar. It was cherry red, where you could see the wood grain, which made it so appealing you could consider it as erotic as your wife or girlfriend wearing lingerie on Valentine's Day. Then I played it, which is where my confusion came in.
There was this girl who I feel her name was Lilly, and she had this online friend named Gretsch or Gretchen. I think they had met at some point in their lives, having decided to meet up. Both girls were around the same age, i'd say about ten or eleven. Lilly had a sister, a twin. I didn't get her name.

George Miller's directorial debut is a surprisingly well put together film that manages to provide both great action and great character drama, while also providing a great piece of entertainment.
George Miller's third entry in his iconic Mad Max franchise is possibly the most unabashedly cheesy entry in the series, yet still manages to find its place among the likes of the far more visceral Mad Max, The Road Warrior, and Fury Road. In what was really the first properly budgeted Mad Max film, Miller, and his co-director George Ogilvie hype the franchise up to it's extremes, going bigger, louder and hammier, and in many ways, that's what gives it it's own, uniquely

In my continuing (and very belated) journey through the world of Mad Max, I have now seen the second entry in the franchise, and the one that most influenced the popular image of Mad Max on our end of the globe (the good old US of A).
The film I'm speaking of is, of course, The Road Warrior, which serves as a perfect sequel to the first film. And, in many ways, serves as a flash forwards of sorts to the absolutely awesome Fury Road, which would be released almost 30 years later.
