Just saw it because I was at a family gathering (I barely escaped with my life). I'm not going to go into much about this episode, but I feel like a few things need to be said.

FINALLY! THE RETURN OF DRAGONS! In case, you didn't notice this episode was the one that I was most excited about this season. If you have read my story you know why.
Everything here is spoilers for the new episode that just aired, Gauntlet of Fire.
So finally was able to watch the new episode. Please don't tell me I am the only one who thought it was like a Harry Potter/ Lilo and Stich crossover? Although my friend says Pokémon I mean seriously! I could see Spike =Harry Twilight= Hermione and Rarity= Ron.
So the lesson of On Your Marks is that ponies are dumb. Bulk Biceps is dumb (but funny), Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo are dumb, and Apple Bloom is about the dumbest pony ever. And while it's not as bad as The Gift of the Maud Pie, I found myself more bored by this on a second watching. It's another episode with a majorly nothing conflict, and while Polsky's sight gags were good, they aren't enough to carry a whole episode. Apple Bloom is just that dumb and boring. :| I might
Gauntlet of Fire was SO GOOD but SO QUICK. The premise was awesome, the new lore was awesome, the cameos and new characters were great, but there was too much to cram into a 20 minute timeslot.
-Okay. I've had the titled spoiled for me thanks to the guy who gave me the link.
-I've seen a couple still images thanks to youtube.
. . . I have taken the liberty of revising the headcanon in The Blue Rose.
Another episode, another review. This time we get to see Spike doing something that actually has implications for the whole of Equestria. I've never really cared about the Spike episodes very much. I don't hate them but I'm not a huge fan of them either. They always seem to have the same message: "You should think of others and how to do kind things without expecting something in return." Good message but that has been about all the Spike episodes.
It's an episode that sounds an awful lot like my time in Dark Souls this week.
Wow. My hopes for Season 6 are up again. That episode was awesome. Love the message. Love the worldbuilding. Just loved the episode. Also, this is Dragon Quest done ... I don't wanna say right, but ... better.
The only downside is that one character almost does a 180 near the end.
Btw, forget Snips and Snails. This guy just took the cake for my most hated character. God, I loved to see him get hurt.
... I felt that I was obligated to talk about today's episode, Gauntlet of Fire
Overall I enjoyed it in the same way I enjoyed Dragon Quest where others did not. Spoiler talk starts now folks!
So, a few days ago (16. April 2016) aired the episode "Gauntlet of Fire" (S6 E5).
It introduced a new dragon character: Ember.
Today I looked at the feature box, and 6 out of 7 (!) of the new stories contains Ember.
It doesn't happen very often a new (background) pony dragon gets that amount of attention in such short time.
And we don't even have an Ember character-tag (yet). I hope it will come soon.
I'm curious how long this will last.
Yeah, this is now my official spike paring. Gonna make a one shot for it this week.
Insert your own Harry Potter joke here because I'm not into that series.
As a dragon fanatic, I must say that this episode really comes close to what I expected. Best episode 10/10 needs more dragons.
:D MY LITTLE DRAGON for a spin-off
okay kidding aside:
Warning: Spoilers from the latest episode, Gauntlet of Fire, abound. Proceed with caution.
Why oh why does inspiration strike when I have major school projects due? Oy.
Spoilers below the cut!
Okay, so, this all originated on another blogpost wherein the latest episode Gauntlet of Fire was being discussed (spoi larz btw) and the topic of shipping inevitably came up, like ya do. Naturally, as a Professor of Shipology, I felt the need to butt in at that point with a post that started off analyzing some shipping elements of the episode, but segued into
