Slavery.
Yes, you read that right. Not an hour ago, I turned the last page of Colony's Copy-Edit.
It's done. Finished. Right now I'm putting the final file together for upload. Tomorrow I get the cover and the description finished. And then ... ?
Colony goes live for pre-order.
Heads up! For those awesome individuals out there who are supporting me via my Patreon page, the May Supporter Reward is now live! As a thank you for your support this month, you're getting another preview look at the upcoming Sci-Fi Space Opera Epic Colony—in particular a tense scene wherein Anna must ... well, that'd be spoiling the surprise.
THIS IS NOT THE FINAL COVER
THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS
The top needs cleaning. I'm thinking larger name, in two rows rather than one to eat up that blank space. And I've got a graphic designer buddy who's tossing me some feedback. That said ... what do you guys think? Comment!
Some of you already know I am a huge fan of Aliens, I love the first two films, I think they're classic masterpieces, Alien 3 I will admit, looking back, I was a bit too harsh on the movie, honestly it's an okay movie, but still a disappointment. Alien Resurrection... was just shit, honestly, it was just... what? That's my honest opinion, maybe ya'll like the movie, and if ya do, that's fine. But! We're not here to talk about the movies, sort of. Instead, we are talking about the PS3 game.
THE DAY OF TERROR HAS ARRIVED! IN JUST A FEW SCANT HOURS, HORRORS UNKNOWN SHALL DESCEND UPON US ALL!
CHILDREN ARE COMING!
But they're really only the prelude. To be honest, the true horror doesn't arrive for another week (this joke works on multiple levels, actually).
It's time.
No, I'm not kidding. It really is.
Colony is officially in Beta! See? It's listed as such on the current projects page of my site and everything.
And this means ... it's time for a Beta call.
So, how does this work? What's a Beta call? Quite simple really. I'm looking for grammar fanatics.
Yeah, I know I said this was going to happen yesterday ... but yesterday was a long day. Partially because it was an extension of the day before it. No worries, it was a confluence of several things coming together that made it such, from the ending of the Beta 1 for Colony, the release of Gears of War 4 (one of the few games I would pull an all-nighter for) and my desire to "reset" my clock to do away with what had become a far to habitual retiring time of 3-4 AM (I've been
Work on Colony must move forward with all possible speed, so this week’s Being a Better Writer post is being delayed until I get Beta 1 finished.
I know. I’d rather not do it. But I figure that I’ve gone ahead and posted on several holidays this year that I could have taken off, so overall I think everyone’s at a net positive anyway.
Back to work! This book isn’t going to finish itself!
So, continuing the week-long run of “I’ve got news and stuff to say!” here we are at Wednesday. And, to no one’s surprise, there’s still stuff going on.
So, today’s post? A financial update. Effectively, I’m tightening my belt and going into drought mode.
Hey readers! I’m making a quick news posts on two topics of interest before diving back into editing work on A Game of Stakes. Read through them both! I promise they’ll be short and one comes with cool feedback potential!
I mean, really, what else is there to say? It’s here. After three years, the sequel to Colony so many asked for has finally arrived.
So go ahead! Snag your copy! It’s here at last! Ready to read! And … most of you are already gone.
It's happened. Colony is officially ready for Beta 1.
That means grammar and typo hunting. Proofreading for small errors. The stone the story was carved from? It's been examined and re-examined, prodded at, chipped away at, and touched upon. And now, at long last, the sculpture is finished. What's left is the spit and polish, the final sheen to make the surface gleam.
Yes, yes, excuse the potato quality quick-pic from my cell. But it's here! Colony pre-orders have now started rolling out, and it may be available to purchase already depending on where you live!
