I suppose some minor spoiler warning might be needed if you don't know who these two hybrid/quasi were before being podded by Polybia.

So there weren't enough usable hours in the day for me to get Chapter 10 of Fables of the Everfree: Pot of Stew out this week. Not only did I adjust the sex scene (longer but still not really fappable, though YMMV), but someone also asked about Lyra's nudity taboo so I need to unpack that more (than they actually wanted). And I used something from this chapter as the prologue, so I have to replace it with something else.
YEAH.
I apparently inspired Vector_Monster to make this. In his own words from the personal message after the break:
Now that I'm free from my bad OC, I think I'm ready to start over with my writing. But first, I need a full, in-depth opinion of what's wrong with my writing in general. I need a fresh start on what I need to improve on and what I'm supposed to do in full detail. What are my strengths and weaknesses in terms of writing?
I just spent ten minutes looking up the name of a particular type of furniture so I could have Trixie refer to it by its proper term.
The things I do for you people.
And now just because there should be some actual substance to this blog post if only for humor value.
Right, so a quick one today. I’m actually typing this out at 1 AM. Why? Well, because remember a few weeks back when I had a dentist appointment that shoved Being a Better Writer back a few days? Well, I’ve got another one in ten hours (shudder). Which, given my enjoyment of dentists … You saw the “shudder” back there, didn’t you?
Ok so I decided to make this blog post so you know about that little module in the right bottom corner of my page is. Believe it or not, I'm kinda shy. Going online is different but I still have trouble talking to others. Anywho, since I'm so shy I have others search for things for me. I made a module so you know what I'm looking for. This is voluntary mind you. Also I will cross out everything that has been found already with a link to whoever did for me unless they want to be anonymous.
Apologies for the delay. My other job scheduled me for several Mondays in a row, and I wasn’t able to get this post done well enough in advance to make the release date. Next week’s post should be done more in advance, however.
There was a post I made here, once, where I brought up the “painted on backdrop.”
This is a copy/paste of this week's BaBW post, which is available at my website!
I went to a Disney Karaoke session at a recent convention. It turned out there were no subtitles, and also that I don’t know any Disney lyrics beyond a few lines from “Under the Sea.” (And “Let it Go.” That’s not my fault. What is it about little girls and Frozen? The music isn’t even catchy.)
So I sat back and listened for a bit. Hunchback has some good songs. I’m gonna have to watch that.
Ever heard of a film called To Hell and Back? No?
I'm not surprised. The film came out a long time ago. 1955, to be exact. It's a World-War II movie chronicling the exploits of one Audie Murphy.
For The Division-Lost Hope, now called The Division-City of Wolves, I have a new plot in store for you.
Here's what's changing.
-It will take place in both Equestria and Manhattan, and the Agents will enter the Dark Zone at some point.
-The Hunters from survival are now the main threat, instead of Keener and the Rogues. Other factions will show up, but the Hunters are predominatly the enemies here.
Whoa. Did I wake up late today. Noon, in fact. Wow.
But you know what? I feel excellent! Last night marks, I think, the first full night of sleep I’ve gotten in since … crud … Since I returned from my quick Alaska trip. And even there I was playing catch up. I think that today I might almost be caught up.
So … today’s post is a little late. Sorry. But I really don’t feel bad. I feel really good. Crud, I might even go get some exercise today!
Today's topic is a bit of the inverse of the one I wrote last week. I didn't intend for this at first—in fact I had no plans for an inverse article when I sat down last Monday; the appearance of this one is entirely coincidence brought about by something I was reading.
Welcome back readers to another Monday entry of Being a Better Writer! I’ve just got one bit of news to talk about, and then we can cut right to the chase and talk about garbage.
Here's how Equispartans II will progress...
This will have SPOILERS for my story's future plot, after the forest escape from Steel Shard Academy, so if you don't want them, steer clear Spartans. Otherwise, read on.
12-The Spartans escape from the academy with five survivors, and after dropping them off on the Infinity, they join the Master Chief, Locke, Osiris, and Blue at the frontline.
Hello everyone! While I was writing the other day, I curiously thought of the fair share of the story's likes and dislikes, and I think the best way to approach this is to personally ask a detailed criticism from each of my readers. If I could take a little bit of everyone's time to provide their own detailed criticism, that'd be be much appreciated.
Hopefully this will be a short one. After the longer-than-average posts the last few weeks, I’d like to get a quicker, shorter Being a Better Writer post in so I can jump back to closing up Jungle once and for all!
