D'aww. 'S a shame this doesn't have more views or comments--this is legitimately a good story. One of the few stories that I've seen that's had Lyra and Bon Bon as friends instead of shipping them, but you pulled it off rather nicely despite my predilection for the whole shipping thing.
I did notice a typo or two, such as when Bon Bon repeated the price to the old stallion and she repeated 50,000 bits instead of 30,000.
But if typos made stories bad, there wouldn't be any good stories anywhere.
Overall, 4.5/5 stars. I'm pretty sure this is a one-shot thing, so I'll not track it. It's also a little short for me to favorite it, but to be honest, I'm faltering. I'll prolly end up favoriting this story at some point after I do this comment.

Thanks for the kind comments! I've never shipped the two in any of my stories(although in my personal headcanon, they do get together later in life).
DAT TYPO. I remember having that pointed out to me by a pre-reader when it got accepted to EqD, and I fixed it in the Docs version. Guess I never got around to it here!

Huh, irresponsible Bon Bon and unamused Lyra. That's a first for me. I like that even though it's their "destiny" or their "mark" that it's still something that they have to practice and work at. Makes it easier to relate to them.
