Very great story
At least the beginning of one.
Drizzt Do'urden was my all time favorite dark elf or Drow he was humble, Kind, passionate and one of the most deadly opponents to any wrong doer because despite hailing from Menzoberanzan a Drow City (deep underground without any light to see) [Drow see heat instead and heat up a giant stone pillar to act as a Sun]. And having a cruel mother that was worshipping a disgusting spider-goddess he fled after his kind fathers murder (by his mother Malice no less) to the deadly underground wilderness until he finally after years of adventures (and finding a City with normal behavior and moral-compass) found his way to the surface...
He is always discriminated against so kudos for your story absolutely in character. What is incorrect is the beard because elfs can not grow them...
Anyway he found not only the surface but also an old ranger of the forest that teached him with Gwenhywar (he freed Gwenhywar from an evil Drow in Menzoberanzan she was his only compannion in the wilderness)...
I still think up to that Rangers Death the tale of Drizzt was epic beyond comprehension the following books depicted him not as good in my opinion because despite him winning in the end he was more a tragic hero because he lost far too many friends and many possible friends were never realized because he prefered to flee not confront.
He also prefered to sneak not brazenly walking into a palace and berating its occupant.. Granted if he knew them from before... But to let the guards draw their weapons in front of Celestia (against Drizzt) and she doesnt even protest? Awkward..
The later books of the forgotten realms were sadly made more for the sale than the great story. Google the first books and you will find totally different covers than in the newer ones. Where because the artist had no Idea of Drows draws Drizzt as a grim "white" guy xD. While quality for the covers went up because of the fan-base sadly quality of the writing went down because the author introduced too many new characters all at once and also killed of too many (okay thats realistic but... Poor Drizzt not even given time to grieve or also sometimes not even knowing they died).. I mean in the old books he knew his mother killed of Zaknafein who (he only suspected to be his father at the time) he saw as a father and later was revealed to truly be his father was resurrected as a Zombie to kill Drizzt by the will of that spider-goddess and boy was he an hardcore opponent absolutely unable to die even after Drizzt bested him with a move previously thought impossible by Zaknafein.. But he showed us from which side Drizzt got his empathy from by fighting in the crucial moment against the spidery control and falling willingly into lava TT__TT
I think should Drizzt be transported to another universe the perfect time would be when he came to the surface and looked at the sunrise..
I am rambling a fair bit because this was the first fan story of Drizzt I ever found (and with Mlp to Boot yay :-D) of course I hope for more
