This was a brilliantly horrifying story and I am glad I had the chance to pre-read it!

3194487 I'm afraid to touch it.

I'm interested in this story.:pinkiehappy:

That left me shaking and crying. I truly terrified of that song now.

Crawls under his bed and whimpers.

3194555 *hugs* It's okay.

3194560 *hugs back* O-Okay. :fluttershysad:

Read this story in the dark they said, it'll be fun they said :fluttershbad:
Anyway...after the shakes I got from reading this awesome but scary story I must say I really enjoyed it, even if it gave me chills! :pinkiehappy:

very dark, very nice. Didn't get the chills but still a very creepy story.

Huh... Looks like this is shaping up to be a good dark story. Creepy imaginary friend? Let's see where this will g-
>Reads 'Laughing Jack'
>Grabs a shotgun.
>Sits in the corner of his bedroom, facing the front door while shaking and humming softly

In all seriousness though, great story. Wasn't as creepy as I would have hoped. I think it would have been better if you didn't have so much needless gore and graphic imagery. I mean, he really had a chance to fuck with her there. Make her have dreams about killing the guards. See silhouettes of their bodies and start to panic. Make her think that she actually might have done it, and slowly make her unsure of herself over time. Not bad though, mate.

He...hehe...hehehehe...all around the mulberry bush...the monkey chased the weasel...hehe...the monkey thought 'twas all in fun...hehehehe POP! Goes the weasel...hehehe...can you sing it again, Jack? Please? It's so fun...hehehe...

A re-tell of the classic 'Laughing Jack' story. Nicely done.

Someone should try classical horror spin-offs., like It, The Thing, or The Lost Boys.
But whatever. I usually enjoy most with a good choice of words.

This is why I keep a sharp object near me at all times and scream let the lord compel ypu at night.

I'm simply terrified as hell from the picture + description itself... D:

Ah yes. The Thing, a former astronaut mutated by cosmic radiation and turned into a hideous abomination...
Wait, we are not talking about the same Thing right?

*sees cover photo*
It's okay, I'm not planning to sleep anyways

Just no.

If you don't know the similarities between movies, don't try at commenting on it.

I'm talking about horror movies, man. Why would I list two horror movies and one character from a terrible Marvel movie when this story is considered a horror story itself?

i love it :pinkiehappy: made me sick i little tho :pinkiesick:

Milano was questioned again by Princess Celestia, who received the exact same answers the guards did only by now

(Linkara voice) "Even though she could just look into her memories or travel back in time to see what really happened, she chose not to because that asylum of hers has been collecting dust ever since it was built."
3199209
And I think you're the one who don't know what are you talking about.
1. That was an obvious joke. And i'm surprised you didn't see that.
2. Last time I checked, Ben Grimm's first appearance was back in 1961, decades before that "terrible Marvel movie". He's not FROM that movie.

3199759

He's not FROM that movie.

No shit, he's not from that movie.
I'm not ignorant, and emphasizing the word "from" with all caps isn't going to emphasize more of what I already know. Ben Grimm is a member of the Fantastic Four comic series, which was created in November, 1961 from both Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. But sense both the comics and the movies were in fact not as successful as Marvel anticipated at first, it doesn't really matter where he's from. The only good comic series that were successful were the ones relating to the Avengers, both comics and cinematics, as well as Deadpool.
And since I don't read Marvel comics anymore because I'm more of a DC Universe fan, especially of Bob Kane and Bill Finger's World's Greatest Detective: Batman, which was made May, 1939.

And I think you're the one who don't know what are you talking about.

I don't even know what the hell you're saying. Did you mean, "And I think you're the one who doesn't know what they're talking about."?
Ooh, you were almost grammatically correct there.

That was an obvious joke. And i'm surprised you didn't see that.

Okay.
For one, no, it wasn't a funny joke. The context for that "joke" were weak, since you used my horror movie reply as a basis for it, and references are only considered a joke when referred to as a joke. A successful joke should consist of both deliverence and execution, which is known as the punch-line.

Here are some examples of jokes that use references as a basis in a given setting or situation(depending on use):
*"Do you like bananas?"-:trollestia:
*"You shall not pass!"-Gandalf
*"I need an adult!"-Chris Griffon
*"Tis but a scratch."-The Black Knight
Even memes are examples of referenced jokes.

Secondly, how exactly are you surprised? Do you know me? Do you expect me or everyone else to understand your sense of humor? If so, you're either not going to go far in life socially or you haven't gone far. Not everyone is going to think that your material is funny just because its a reference. As you said,

And i'm surprised you didn't see that.

:trollestia:

I can't believe I'm gonna do this. Favorite. (At least it's not a clop).

Favorite and on my fav fanfic of the week, :pinkiehappy: I liked it.

<-------------- Hahahahahahahahaha! Me!

Oh good, my singing didn't scare anyone! ^_^ Now you won't see me coming until my knife is inside you. Don't worry, it only hurts a little...until I start carving...hehehe...

Oh...Fucking hell dude that was a amazing

Finished reading this around midnight. Now I have to watch puppies to make up for it.

It's funny. I just find out about this creepy pasta today. Not even from the original, but from this:

Then I read the story itself.

And then I find this.

Sweet Nightmares for me tonight!

3405014 I fall asleep to that song now. Thank you.

Damn. Just damn.

Laughing Jack is seriously just the best.

So... I was just reading the description, completely ignoring the cover picture cause it was going to give me nightmares if I stared at it for another second. But what should happen but accidently click on the damn picture, putting the whole thing on full screen. :facehoof: Couldn't sleep at all that night..

Well looks like i'm not getting any sleep tonight

Oh, damn, that's a good one.

Actually, I do a lot of group camping and I'm often called upon to do the horror story's, could I please use this story (humanised , no one knows I'm a brony and I intended to keep it like that) just shortened and more set for the camp fire.

Honestly, why not just tell 'em the original Laughing Jack story I based this off? :rainbowwild:

3797229
I didn't realise there was an original! Thanks though, l'll be sure to look it up.

Well, I didn't need sleep anyways. *Likes and favorites it* Kept me on the edge of my seat. I was Screaming like a woman who missed a shoe-sale.

Here you all go. Some nice little ambiance while you read.

Who needs sleep anyway? Sleep is for the weak. :pinkiecrazy:

I feel like you need to write more about this

Hmm, good story, but the behavior of characters were strained to pretty unrealistic levels so as to get the outcome you wanted, which is generally a bad thing. I find it very hard to believe Milano would not be believed in this case. Besides the witnesses in the form of the other foals, which, I'll admit, would not be enough on it's own to prove her innocence, there is still the fact that this is occurring in Equestria. I can understand this happening here as mystical things, as far as I know, just don't happen, but in Equestria, an evil, murderous being slaughtering a child and framing a mother who probably has a good reputation and no history of violent psychosis is not that far fetched. As someone pointed out, their is plenty of magic the princesses could have used to find out what happened that night.
Another hard-to-believe moment was after Button is first attacked. First, I find it unlikely that he would go to school the next day, and second, that he would not be questioned on what happened and admit it was Jack to the guards. They probably wouldn't believe it at first, but I think the thought would be considered after his murder and his mother's claims.
Well, if anything, you can do a pretty interesting sequel where Sweetie Belle, as I think that was who the filly was at the end, starts experiencing the same stuff as Button was. The guardians (ie. Applejack, Rarity, etc) would hear about it, remember the claims of the foals in the past about how they met nice Mr. Laughing Jack when Button introduced them, finally realize Milano may not be the murderer they believed her to be, and... well take it from there. Either way, a second incident would probably go a long way in showing ponies (who really should know better than to just dismiss stuff out of hoof like that) that there is something more sinister going on then just a crazy mom.
Though I am sure this was just a oneshot, I think there could be an interesting equal to it where Milona get's a little justice. Everyone likes justice.

:rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh:this is the funniest thing ive ever read:rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh:

Thank god im the right age no one kills 14 year olds they just get raped sadly :( so SUCK IT JACK.

That... Was... Awesome! I read the story about at 4am after waching a horror movie... I could see Jack looking at me threw my tablets screen. Now I am trying to go to sleep... Key word: Trying.

No worries mate.......I dint feel like sleeping tonight anyways......now I have that song in me head and it's 11 o'clock at night....

Not many things are as good as this, I implore you to make more, these are awesome.

Hi there. I just want to say, I really liked this story, it was a good read.
I found this months ago and now just uploaded a reading of it.
I liked this story so much, now you have your own dramatic read of it, and right on time for Halloween too.
Hope you like it
