3537935 We started off properly, and then Corwin added the first altered lyric in... and then two minutes later... Think we're going to have to try and 'clopify' all the songs now!

That... Was brilliant. :raritystarry:

That appledash sequence felt really out of place. The rest of the fic is about the beginning of a relationship, and here in the middle we get a couple who've been together long enough to want to experiment in the bedroom... Could easily axe that scene and not lose anything vital.

Good story but could stand to lose all the AppleDash scenes.

3539993 3545243 I know it's not important to the main arc of this story, but I wanted this to be a one shot, which is why I left it in there.

That, and Cheerilee's reaction to Dash was planned. Then I'd be getting complaints as to what had happened.

3545736 I just don't see/get the point of gay/lesbian relationships. It seems like one person invariably takes on the role of the woman or man. If one person is gonna be the male or female in a same sex relationship, why are you in a gay/lesbian relationship in the first place? Makes no sense.

3546814 Well, that's just something extra that they do sometimes.

As for why people are in those type or relationships... couldn't tell you, having been single for the past 3, almost 4, years. But that's their choice, and we should respect it, even if we don't understand it.

Even if one person is taking on a role similar to the stereotype of a different gender, the actual sexual orientation determines how they feel about people. I, myself being a very effeminate male, would prefer a more masculine female. That is, if I'm straight. Still up in the air. But I know that at different times, I vary from decently masculine to very feminine, and I would like a partner who could feel the same way, complimenting my feelings at the time. So even within heterosexual relationships, one gender roles can switch, or both essentially perform the same one. It all really depends on the person, but orientation is not a choice, and those that attempt to make it one have a low happiness level, greater suicide risk, and generally greater health risks. There are MANY reasons to engage in a homosexual relationship, even if your partner just assumes a stereotypical gender role of another.

3620019 You, sir, have just won complete awesomeness.

Treat yourself to a cookie.:moustache::moustache::moustache::moustache::moustache:

Thank you, I appreciate that. And I just ate raw cookie dough. Counting it, though.

You're embarrassing me.

There will be a sequel to this in Valentine's Day. I hope it is a unique ship, as I don't recall seeing it before.

I'm looking forward to it ^^

Because you might be in love with that person for reasons other than gender.

I'm not even gay, but I support Appledash because I think they would "love" each other if the show were to ever go that way (even though it won't). I feel like Rainbow likes Applejack for her personality, and vice versa. They just happen to be the same gender. I also believe RD would probably be the "man" in the relationship, but that's more because of her masculine personality, and not so much because a relationship NEEDS a man and a woman.

Hell if Rainbow Dash had been a stallion from the start, Appledash might have actually happened on the show by now.

The song was a 'what the fuck?' moment right there. :rainbowderp:

3835761 it is a song from the episode where their cutie marks get switched

“I'm sorry about this , Mac, I really am, but I couldn't think of another way.”

It does not speak well of her intellect that this was the "only way" she could think of to prevent the CMC from playing matchmaker with her and Big Mac. I mean, seriously, at the very least, only ONE of them needed to be completely unavailable for H&H day for any matchmaking plans to fall apart.

'Ah can't betray her trust. What would that say about me?'

What trust? She captured and carried him to a cabin, and bound him against his will. It's Big Mac who's being especially trusting, given that he isn't suspicious about a mare physically detaining him supposedly just to make him unavailable for a day.

The sex parts were great, especially the build-up between Mac and Cheerilee, but the set-up feels horribly contrived. It almost feels like you thought of a story, and then re-wrote that story to fit the picture cover. It wasn't bad, but this story was clearly shooting for a coherent plot and sensible characterizations, and I feel it missed those marks.
