Crime, is something that is present no matter where you look. Sure there are places that seem free of its influence, but scratch below the surface and you'll see signs of crime and corruption.
Even a seemingly peaceful land such as Equestria has its secrets. For unknown to many, the world of crime has quite the influence.
Applejack is aware of this fact, but when Granny Smith reveals how it ties into the deaths of Applejack's parents, Applejack is furious.
Before long however, she decides that there's only one thing to do. Teach the world of crime a lesson. And she intends to do so using their greatest weapon, fear.
And so, Equestria's greatest, and most mysterious defender is born.

4084418 Most likely not. I might eventually make Spike Superman as that's the only other superhero with which I have a lot of familiarity with. Most other superheros I know about from shows like "Justice League" and "Teen Titans", or movies like "Avengers". Batman, Spider Man, and Superman are the ones that have had movies, and successful t.v. shows in addition to being comic book characters.

4084450 Yeah, and more then likely the inspiration will come from the original 1978 Superman and 2006 Superman Returns movie as those are good representations of the hero. Man of Steel is good too, but it's a bit too grounded in reality. I might also work in the famous "World of Cardboard Speech" from what I believe is "Justice League". Rarity will be Lois Lane, but the rest of the cast will be under wraps until I write it.

Not what I call a finally showdown, why too fast in my words. I had a feeling it was going to be Spike. Well when you get around the next season, yes I'm calling it that, I know just who they are facing. But again, this doesn't not sound like a showdown. True the Joker crazy, but at least he try to fight Batman in the movies and games. Here, there was barely anything. Sorry SuperPinkBrony but this chapter doesn't fit well with me. But that doesn't mean I dislike it.

4232305 That was inspired by the scene in Tim Burton's Batman in 1989, when Batman tries to save Jack Napier (the man who becomes The Joker) but Jack ultimately falls into the vat of chemicals.
Um, I'm confused. This chapter says that Twilight doesn't' know who bat mare is, but earlier, she did. You might want to fix that plot hole.

I really don't see how anyone would think that Blueblood could be the Joker. The Joker was nobody before he was the Joker, he, at most, was a highly intelligent human being who really didn't have much personality, through some means he became a psychotic psychopathic cackling mass murdering serial killer. Blueblood seems more like the Penguin if anything, he's rich, criminal, and a generally a jackass, his character may be that of a shallow idiot, but that only means he already had character which doesn't seem to reflect any of the characteristics of the Joker. If Blueblood is selfish, the Joker is selflessly evil, his ultimate goal is to push the Batman to the point where he breaks, to get Batman to kill him, thus proving that everybody is just like him deep down inside. Blueblood seems like a rich self-centered shallow prick, on top of that he seems frankly kind of dumb, certainly not the chemistry and engineering genius like the Joker. Overall I think Blueblood just doesn't have the stuff to be as crazy or clever as the Clown Prince of Crime.

where in Equis did AJ get a batmobile!? Sure, the family business is somewhat big, but they are partners with Filthy Rich for a reason. Not to mention that's the business's money, not the family's money. This doesn't even go into the fact Equestria is nowhere near advanced enough for Batman tech unless a character like Twilight is used who you could argue might make it herself, and if she's already a princess has a good amount of resources.
