War has errupted in Equestria and a call to arms has been announced to all the land, to serve in Celestia's Army. Amongst the thousands are the local residences of Ponyville and Appleloosa who volunteer for a new branch of the army called the Colt Volunteer Battalions, nicknamed Coltgrenadiers by the officers who lead them. As the war progress, more ponies are needed to serve and a draft is established, and amoungst the names are some familiar faces, along with new ones.

Woo! First! serously though, I'd always imagined Big Mac as a soldier and alas it has come true! He's one of my favorites in the show and I'd love to see how you flesh out his character. Here's to seeing more of this fic.

I like how this is coming along. I noticed a few errors her and there, but im not one to point them out unless I personally don't understand something. Someone else will eventually. And you seem to have nailed Mac's character. Strong, Silent, and friendly. Eagerly awaiting more. If you haven't looked at it yet, my fic is similar to this, albeit a few hundred years previous.

whoah. did not expect the way this chapter ended. Normally I pivk up on these sort of things, but you hid it quite well until just the riht moment. imagine the horror of coming to realize you fired and killed your own comrades, and then top that off with a lunar assault. War really is hell, no matter in equestria or earth. If this isnt finished, i cant wait for more.
